AA Battery tip??

OK....not sure if it is true but a buddy told me he doesn't buy AA batteries anymore....he buys the square 6 volt battery with the springs on top...He says he opens it and there are 36----AA batteries in there. The 6 volts go for 4-5 bucks...If that is true seems like the way to go....my GPS...radio...rangefinder...flashlights and one of my trail cams take them..

Anyone ever heard this?

Yes, Ive heard the same thing. I have yet to open one up though. The worst thing that can happen is youre out 4 or 5 bucks.  :)

I had a old 6 volt battery and cut it open because I heard this, and there was no AA batteries in there.I can't even remmeber what was in there but no AA in there.
