Food Plot for hire?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend someone who would be interested in planting a small clover food plot, approximately one acre in Monroe County? Access is very easy off main road in the middle of a mowed grass field. Willing to pay fair price.

The friend who did it prior is unable. Thanks for suggestions.

I just wanted to provide an update.. I found "Tosch Consulting" who came over and looked over my land and we discussed options. I had already had a first opinion from someone else who seemed decent and I probably would have been happy with.

But I was blown away by Tosch and how thorough and conscientious they were. Even the emails they'd send were detailed. Every step of the way they communicated without my asking and they played the weather and changed plans as needed. And it's not like they charge a premium for that service.

I had never met them prior but after them doing my work, I felt they earned a well deserved plug. So if you ever need anything, google them... Tosch Consulting LLC

I had them do a one acre Whitetail Institute Clover Plot and then I added a second small plot in another section which was Alfalfa and clover mix. As for details, they are very weather aware and just very easy to deal with. Their price was actually slightly less than the other person who quoted but like I've said they actually ended up seeming much more knowledgable. We tested soil and they also offer a guarantee because I chose to fertilize. If it does not take, they will re do it.

I'm sure each job is different so I'll let them price out any job you may have. I'll pm you what my price was. Very affordable.

I have called them twice and also have emailed them. No response either time. Poor buisness practices.

BigGuyNY, This is Mike I'll send you a PM with my info but I have no unanswered emails that have come through and no voicemails I haven't answered.  We're slammed this time of year, I apologize if I've missed you somehow.  This is a side business for Dave and I, and after we installed the plot for JFB he told me he made a post on here so I've been keeping an eye on it as I post on here occassionally too. It has generated a lot of calls from around the state which is great and we've tried getting back with everyone, but just can't cover the entire state as a two man "on the side" operation. I'll see if Dave is having email issues but I can assure you we aren't purposely not responding.

Sorry, ma'am! Foot removed from mouth now. I was wondering when I typed that... And shouldn't have assumed!

We're always open to the idea but it's far from full time and usually even with only two people involved there's little profit to share, but we enjoy it and meeting like minded people. If the business grows we'll be looking for people to bring on or partner with.

BigGuyNY I posted a reply on here and PM'd you my cell number and I see you've logged in a couple times since then but I still haven't heard from you.  I would like to get to the bottom of why you couldn't reach me and see what we can do to help you out if you're still interested.  Thanks -Mike

Thanks BigGuyNY, that was really bugging me why you didn't get through. I was in Potter County PA with no cell coverage for a few days when you called and my cell provider updated the voicemail program at the end of the month during that same time. At least I got your message, even if it took a week! Technology... Hopefully that doesn't happen again. Sorry about that, good luck this season!

AGREED, MT624.

I WOULD LOVE TO DO THE SERVICE FOR AS MANY PEOPLE AS I CAN TOO .BUT WORK LIMITS ME FROM DOING TO MUCH. IF I KNEW MY EQUIPMENT WOULD NEVER BREAK AND I HAD THE TIME I WOULD DO THIS FOR FREE, JUST TO SEE THE OUTCOME AND HEAR SOME STORIES THAT COME FROM IT! I LOVE FARMING FOR WILDLIFE! I'D CALL IT A PASSION RATHER THAN A HOBBY!
