Here is the story (copy/paste from my email) that goes with the above noted picture............................................

Larry, I started the season with a bang this morning. Got here about 2 PM yesterday and set up a blind on a cedar pasture where we have permission to hunt. Got in there this morning before daylight and set out a strutter decoy with a submissive hen and my bobblehead hen. Heard the first roost gobble at 5:40 AM. By fly down I had heard 3 gobblers close enough to call to..Started calling at flydown..Nothing too exciting. birds gobbled on and off for a while and finally I heard a closer gobble and had a nice adult tom strutting about 100 yards from my setup. damn thing strutted and gobbled, but walked right past me out of gun range. About that time another tom showed up and the two of them got into a brawl. I watched them for about twenty minutes through my Liecas wrapping their necks around each other and breast pushing each other back and forth. Finally one decided he had enough and started to leave..I called to the winner and he immediately lit up and started strutting to my decoys. About that time the loser decided he was also interested in my decoys and started strutting in. I decided to shoot which ever one came in first, because they were both nice toms. The loser got there first. I crunched his noggin with a load of copper plated 4s at 19 yards, standing right beside my bobblehead hen. The winner was not that spooked, he left at a fast walk but did not run or fly. I could have killed him easy. As he was leaving , two jakes came walking in, even though I had shot less than a minute previous. I took a picture of my three decoys with the dead gobbler laying in the middle of them and the two jakes standing there looking stupid. Haven't weighed the bird yet, but I think he's probably a 3 year old. Nice full beard about 9 inches, one inch spurs and probably weighs about 20 pounds. Gonna go back tomorrow and try for the survivor. Gator has not checked in yet. I don't know if I can get on the forum from here or not. If Gator can send picts, I may email you a picture of my bird. say HI for me to the guys on the forum. Talk to you soon, Dan
