Small food plot success ???

Has anyone had any luck with small hidden food plots. I just planted 1/8 acre food plot In the woods. I have had great luck with big 1 acre clover and turnip but first small hidden plot.

Nice looking little space. Hope it grows in nice and full for ya. I have had luck with smaller plots I shot a doe opening day of gun season on a smaller plot last year.

If your deer per acre isn't to high, they can and do work.especially in conjunction with larger nutrition plots

We've planted hidden spots like yours in the past. We would get hundreds of pics of wildlife.  Every critter out there like to visit those more relaxed areas. Our deer density, is so high here, they would be nothing left, come hunting season though.

I do small hidden plots as well... Seem to work well enough.

Yes I have had good luck / results with smaller plots. Common thing to do in woodland areas until you can expand them or just use them as is or supplements to others. I just don't mix annuals with perennials in the same plot.

I put in a small plot near my stand on the 10th.  I left my camera up and it captured the whole thing in photo progression if I can turn it to a video I will post it.  I was afraid with all the rain we had this week it would be washed away but I was surprised to see the brassica, and clover already coming through.   I have even had a few visitors through there.  If you look closely in the Larch in the middle is my stand.  This camera is about 30 yards away.

man I wish I could disconnect from the city life. very nice indeed.

 

at some point in the near future I plan on buyin some land upstate. prolly wont be but a few acres but I plan on doing this very thing. small enough for me to handle on my little weekend gettaways

I have many small 50' x50' to 100' x 100. I just keep moving  my trail cams around and the deer hit them all. Just make them as I am cutting trees down for firewood.

Clover seems to be what they hit the most all year long.
