What a difference from last year with the apple trees by me ,last year the branches were hanging low for the weight of all the apples on the apple trees. This year some have O, none other you have too look hard to find an apple on the tree. Not too good for the deer.Blackberries also far and few between. And we had no heavy frost this year either ,can't blame it on that. Acorns are dropping , but not that many either.

That's a good thing makes hunting a lot easier.. deer on their feet looking for food, and if you put your time in and find a few loaded trees you'll tag out quick... bad for deer if its a long cold winter..but a lot better for us as hunters

Our apple trees are bare and the apple orchard is a ghost town. Our pear trees are all low hanging though, not sure why one fruit is growing and the other is not. The acorns are definitely plentiful. It is looking like the hardwoods will be the place to be early season.
