32 years of hunting and I would guess in the triple digits for total. Gave up trying to keep track quite a few years ago. The first 5 years of deer hunting it was easier to keep track because they were few and far between. Since the doe permits and DMAPS are pretty liberal in areas I have hunted in the last 20 years, the numbers have really jumped. I still have every rack of any buck I shot, They are in a box in my garage, so I could count if I wanted. I don't remember the numbers but if I pulled each rack out I could probably tell the story. or at least make a good one up...lol)

I keep a logbook and a picture album. The number is not important but since I have been hunting deer for over 30 years there have been quite a few. The album is important to me. I pick it up and flip back through and I have a pic of every deer but one and reliving those hunts and those of my partners sure puts a smile on my face!

 

Funny thing is my two biggest bucks were not nearly as eventful or challenging than a couple of the smaller ones. Like the first buck I stalked with a bow. And some of the most memorable are deer that won the hunt that day we met!!

Started hunting in 1995. Probably 25-30 since then. At the end of the day,the time i spent afield with my late grandfather, father, brother, etc mean more to me than the tally.
