tarter disc/culti packer combo for atv

Looking to purchase simple equipment package for our club. Land was cleared several years ago. Ph samples taken and need to lime. First and foremost is to kill the grass/weeds. Next is to purchase not only a quad ATV to pull the device, but also buy equipment to disc and cover seed. Wondered if anyone has had the experience of using the above mentioned piece of equipment and if it or another piece of equipment is better. maybe an acre max to plant...clover if nothing else.....we're all out of towners and find it hard to get to camp and tend to things. Thanks.

Might be more cost effective to have a local farmer come in and do the tilling, then you can hand seed and have him drag it in.

It's been my experience that local farmers are not all that reliable. Especially when you are four hours away and can't monitor their progress. I had made a cash agreement with a local farmer this year to till and plant corn by the end of May. Needless to say the corn did not get planted till the end of June and roughly less then half grew. I would reccomend having a local farmer turn the soil over for you once and you could then use the attachments you purchase for following years. If you want something done right it's best to do it yourself.

We have a neighbor who may be able to assist us in our project. I also reached out to the local QDMA rep to get advice also. We shall see...spring is right around the corner...I think.
