I phone versus the Samsung S4 or S5

I am looking at upgrading my phone . Some folks seem to like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5 over the I Phone while some like the LG phones . Opinions ?

Android op system is best out there IMO...i am using Samsung galaxy s5 active currently and love it.

If you can wait until next year wait for the Samsung s6 however s5 is awesome as is one of the Motorolas can't remember exactly which one, but iPhone sucks a fat one

Have a Galaxy S4 at the moment. The Samsung phones blow away the iPhone IMHO. HTC makes some nice androids as well.

I currently have a galaxy s4. Absolutely love it. my buddy owns 6 at&t stores. Swears by the android phones over the iPhone and recommends the galaxy over the iPhone any time I need an upgrade

iPhones are really where its at. When it comes to security on a mobile operating system, iOS cant be beat. Theres a few new strains of mobile based ransomware and spyware that are going to become extremely prevalent before too long, and they target android and windows mobile OS. All APPs for iOS have to get Apple's OK before they can be added to the App Store. Want to live dangerously with an iPhone, you can just Jailbreak it.

 

I have had multiple Android based phones, with all kinds of issues before i got my iPhone. Since then I have had a few minor issues with software upgrades, but I download them immediately and sometimes take the brunt of any glitches. Also, I am not a fan of Samsung. Ive had nothing but problems with their products, from phones to refrigerators, to TVs and audio systems. I wont buy their crap anymore.

I couldn't be happier with my iPhone. It has been tough and reliable since getting it 2 years ago. I like the fact that I can just dump pics into my wife's iPad with AirDrop, I like how the email system works for saving things that have been attached, the battery life is good enough as long as you shut the wifi off when in the bush.

Sure there's a couple small issues but I like this iPhone 5 quite a bit.

My dad and step mom got android based phones and I'd say they are satisfied somewhat but probably wish they'd have dropped the long dollar for the Apple products.

Working in IT with many business clients, I can say that most phones with broken displays tend to be iphones. The iPhone email client is notorious for just not handling email well, it requires an air print capable printer to print, or you must spend a lot of time hacking iTunes to make your regular printers air print "spoofed". Call quality is terrible, battery life is poor.

Icloud doesn't back up most of what it claims to. If you do a software update, do a manual iTunes backup first, because if not you'll lose a bunch of possibly important info.

Hmmm, every Disney World employee has either an Iphone and or Ipad assigned to them. If it's good enough for Disney it's good enough for me IMO.

I don't have an iPhone, but my HTC android does everything that I need it to do.

I am happy with my HTC android phone.

Good for them. I hope you get the same corporate discount as Disney must. IPads are great, for a very very limited number of tasks. If you want a true mobile office, get a surface (not a surface rt)

Just looked up the surface,Whats the difference between the surface and the surface RT? I was thinking about getting a ipad,are these better?

Surface rt has a limited application base. Same as an iPad, can only run things made specifically for it. A full surface will run any PC program

I bought an RT, works fine but gave it to my 8 year old because I needed a tablet capable of running ActiveX web components.

It would just be used to surf the web,trail cam pics and what not.I have a PC here and at work for running anything heavy.Would the RT do it?

Yes rt will handle those tasks and have a longer battery life than iPad or full surface.

Look into the new Motorola Droid Turbo, battery will never leave you flat and has a 21 mega pixel cam plus loads of other goodies, Verizon only but that's fine with me, Verizon coverage never leaves me a wantin.

I have the droid maxx. They say 48 hours of runtime but for me it's more like 24.
