These Elite bows are amazing

Back in January i bought a new to me 2010 Elite Z28 . I have only heard good things about the bow and i had to have one. I have been shooting every night in basement at about 7 yards and i hit up the 20 yard indoor range once or twice a week. Today i went to the outdoor range at the club and shot 30 and 40 yards for the first time. I broke a nock at 30 and i had a really nice grouping going at 40 until the string caught my sleeve on the last shot but at least it still hit the target and didn't bury in the ground somewhere behind the target. This bow is amazing and the most quiet bow i have ever heard.

I bet those arrows were a BEAR to get out of the butts at the club!

I had a dickens of a time last fall getting my shafts out of them..........

My Elite Answer is a 2012 and I couldn't be happier with it.  What shafts are you using?  I'm shooting Gold Tips.

Quiet and low vibration, a sweet shooter for sure.

I bought a used 2012 Elite Pure last summer and it's been a great hunting bow, I shoot Black Eagle Rampage arrows and tip them with Muzzy 3 blade 100gr. As long as I judge distance correctly my arrows are on the money.

I shot four doe but missed on a good 8pt when I had to twist and the string caught my harness, 2014 was a good bow season.

I shoot a 2013 Answer in target red and the performance is unreal. I am currently shooting in the wny outdoor 3d league and averaged 138 this year over the last 12 weeks. I have it paired with victory x ringers and can't ask for a better combo..........will most likely be picking up an E35 this summer to set up for shooting in ibo open division which has targets I believe out to 60 yards

My Z-28 is my most prized hunting tool. As much as I know it is just a tool, I use it better than all other bows I have ever owned. I missed a slammer last season and it was the first miss I've ever had with a buck while using it. And, it was all my fault. I apologized to my bow in the stand. True story.

many I know would think about throwing it out of the stand.  quite the self control you must have. lol

I wanted to. Nothing like having a top 10% buck (of what you have to hunt) at 8 yds and prematurely hitting the release waiting for him to take the proverbial "one more step" to clear brush. Arrow flew about six inches in front of his brisket and then he bounded out of my life never knowing what just happened. Eyes were rolled back in his head and he was staring at a hot doe about ten yards away...and I went to move my pointer finger around the backside of the release trigger to wait for him to step foward, and blip....hit the edge of it.

Poor pic of a pic, but he was hovering around 135-140 as a typical 8, which I consider a slammer because only a fractional % of 8s hit 140.

Sorry for the derail. Back on topic.

I really like my Z because it's a hunting bow. It's not a bow I would shoot for 3d/indoor, etc. but it's really the closest I've ever shot to a perfect hunting bow. Enough speed/energy, not too heavy, hold easy at full draw, smooth draw process and repeatable. It's also great for situations where you need to awkwardly make a shot happen, ie poor form might result from twisting in the stand to get the shot.

Google PowerPoint five spot targets, you can make 20 yard targets proportioned to your 7 yard shot, it's pretty cool. I have Pulse and an Answer, both 2012s. Love the Pulse, I'm lukewarm on the Answer. May be for sale soon

I have been thinking about going over to the dark side!  lol  I shoot a Mathews now but I have been checking out the Energy 32 and the Synergy, I have been hearing nothing but good thing from users and testers.  Seems like they really have a great bow!

Nice shooting!  I think you are ready for a 3D shoot!

I shot an Elite (for the first time in my life) E32 last month and was really impressed. So impressed I think I shot 20-30 arrows through it. But the Obsession Evolution won me over, so that's what I ended up ordering. They were both nearly identical in draw smoothness and back wall (to me). But the obsession seemed more dead in the hand and a touch quieter. Prices were nearly the same so that wasn't really a factor. But, Elite definitely makes a super nice bow.

The solid back wall is one of my favorite traits of the elites, the smooth draw and the ability to keep the bow dead solid and watch the arrow flight while still looking down the pin.
