Trail Systems

Recommended Posts

For those who have land what's your trail system like? Are your trails mainly 4wheeler friendly or tractor/truck worthy? Just curious on what works for everyone. Ours are only meant for 4wheelers but sometimes think we should widen them for tractor/truck access.

a little bit of both...mainly tractor...for I use many to get to the plots and timber...some just 4-wheeler...but now I have to open those to tractor size because the Gator is so wide...many are just walking trails I can get either the mower or the DR down...73 acres 2miles of winding and intersecting trails. Some are plot type trails most moss covered

Thanks, I e been feeling like we should have at least one main trail. Could make it alot easier getting firewood out with the truck instead of multiple loads with the wheeler. Well lets add another project to the long to do list!!

Grow, do u like the gator? Do u find it much more useful and enjoyable than a 4wheeler?

All of our trails are good enough for a truck as we need wide trails for the ranger to get through the woods. They use to be walking or 4 wheeler size but when got ranger we had to spend a few months makeing wider.

Absolutely love it!....the auto dump bed is so much nicer than dragging a wagon around...easier loading deer...carrying the saw and leaf blower...

That's what I assumed, I think they are a big step up from 4wheelers. My dad keeps mentioning upgrading wheelers and when I mention side by sides he looks at me like I have the heads.

Mr B knows me well and got the better set of wide bumpers... complete underside body armor and light guards...lol I have already backed into a tree( the last run before the snow got above tires)

Seriously that dump bed holds a ton and lots of stuff too  ;)  Then there is the steering...it has better power steering than my Marquis...I carry a cooler in it for loose tools and gear  stay dry if it rains...the wind shield is the nuts in cold and rainy weather and the roof is perfect...the more I've driven it the quieter the engine has gotten ...thought that was me but let the son take her out and the difference was noticeable on his return.

I was thinking about a side by side today as my 6yr old, wife and I rode one 4wheeler back to the f plot project. Little tight!!
