New to New York

Hey all, I'm looking for info on doing some duck/goose/other waterfowl hunting in northwest New York state.  I'm an AD military guy who just got stationed in Watertown and I'm looking to do some this fall.  Mostly interested in finding out the best public lands for it, or make some connections to get on private land.  I think I've got the (crazy amount of) paperwork figured out, just have to get all my ducks in a row, as it were.  Thanks ahead of time for any help!

Look up lakeshore march near sandy pond.ALso ST lawrence river has some great opportunities for waterfowl
