Try this... put the beer back and buy the condoms.... helping people in need is one thing, its done more in the private sector then the gov. Has ever done, but constantly being taken advantage of without the ability to curb it leaves a bad taste in the mouth of every tax payer. As far as docs soc. security he paid it his whole working life no one would complain about that except the life long system milkers who see it as there money. The nanny state that continues to grow is the down fall of the american society. When 30% of my pay is scored before i get to see it, then property tax, sales tax, on and on, to the point i have to pick and choose what my family eats based on this weeks coupons an the person in front of me at the store gets to buy stuff based on the picture on the side of the box because its not 'there' money, yep leaves a very bad thorn in my side. And the next time you get a pay check ask yourself... did this come from a person or company that figured out how to make a few bucks or some one who collects every month.

Maybe he was living "within his means" and had his income cut by over 70% like mine was. If it wasn't for my wife's teaching income, which conserv-a-turds think is excessive, we would lose our home.

If conservatives are so concerned with preventing child births by those that can't afford to feed them, why are they doing everthing they can to make access to birth control harder for poor people?

Ever swing into planned parenthood? Check it out and see what is paid for already

The point is that tax cuts for the rich also contribute to the deficit. At least money channeled to the poor is returned to the economy while most of those tax cuts get funneled into offshore tax havens or are invested in 3rd world jobs, thus putting even more American workers out of work.

And back to my point. If it is sooooo great let's do it for everyone. Think of how stimulates the economy will be.

My neighbors are black. Up until about a week ago, they had no children. Then, I started seeing these two blonde girls, roughly 15 years old, coming out of their home. They were always with my neighbors, who wouldn't let the girls out of their sight. They were wholesome looking girls. I just figured they were housing them for some program. Then I bumped into my neighbor, while I was on neighborhood watch. After I put my gun away, and let him up off the ground, I asked him about the girls. Turns out, Obama gave them to him for his vote. I found out that Obama has been promising white teenage girls to blacks that vote for him. Where is the media on this story?

And it's 100% true!

why is it, that that throughout this entire thread, that you are the only one to associate the color of ones skin with the discussion at hand?

Growing up my father and mother divorced. She got the house, a washer, a dryer and child support along with two minimum wage jobs, HEAP and Food Stamps. She had 3 kids and we all turned out to be fine hard working American who pay taxes and take vacations.

My wife fly's to the Philippine's once a year and I get to camp/fish/hunt and buy a camper and 2015 Forester.

everyone has bumps in the road god willing we all make it through to higher ground.

do some abuse the system, Yup and it pisses me off knowing. is it as bad as this thread makes it sound. nope.

Want to reduce it, write your congressman and get them to do things that better educate kids, promote trade school for kids who just are not built for college, bring jobs back to American soil. do I know everything, nope...

When is the last time a welfare recipient gave you a job? I will tell you that it is a whole bunch of rich guys that provided for and still are providing for everything I've got. So if tax cuts provide a more friendly business climate to encourage people to do business here, I guess I won't holler about that too much. It sure doesn't work out well waiting around for a pay check from some poor person. That could be a long wait, couldn't it. But I sure don't have to wait long for them to dip into my pocket helping themselves to a good portion of my hard earned gains.

There are damned few people who begrudge a necessary helping hand up to those who through no fault of their own have found themselves in a financially strapped condition. And that includes the rich people that everyone is so fond of railing against in their practice of class envy. But the fact is that there are entire generations that have accepted the welfare road to living out their lives. And there are plenty of libs who are content to leave these people in that situation and even facilitate it. Those are the scumbags. There are people who have been conditioned to accept handouts without any regrets. Politicians and their pink supporters are very happy to keep these people there, not as a help up, but as chains to hold them down. You want to talk about scumbags? It isn't the recipients that fit that title as much as those who promote their way of life and encourage them to stay where they are by inventing new systems to take advantage of. Those are the real scumbags.

And that, my friend is how it is supposed to work. Your Mother gave you kids much more than food and shelter as proven by how you turned out. drive and a work ethic.

I do, however believe the incidents of abuse are much higher than you are indicating. I am not only talking about outright fraud but a generational attitude that the system is their job. Take a stroll around any of NY's major cities during the day and see the able bodied folks just hanging out.

In the position I have, we have lost 15 apprentices in skilled trades in the last two years alone. The reason for their resignations was because the work was just too hard. These are paid apprenticeships that pay start at 36k a year and at the end of 4 years they are making 70k (not counting overtime). so at 22 they could be making 70k but the work is too hard. In the current system an employer or even a taxpayer has no avenue to even report on an individual like this. To me if you walk away from an opportunity like the one I described you shouldn't get squat.
