Any Non-white Members?

Let me be the first to speak up.  I'm sure some of the old timers here will remember this picture.  It's a picture of me and my buddy Doewhacker from a few years back.  We shot this buck on First-lights property.  We trespassed on his land the weekend he wasn't up there.  We are immigrants from Tanzania, and eventhough our own family members were not in this country when slavery was legal we still are VERY offended by the confederate flag.  

 

Maybe now the thread could officially be put to bed.

Her's to the OP and the reason for the thread, I am half non-white and dont give half a $hit about any flag.  I do not see how someone can point out a few things and be called a racist.  Being half spanish I hate some of the spanish people more then any white racist you have ever met.  They bring a bad name to an entire group of people...call it what ever the hell you want but its true. I have black friends that most of you would consider more racist then the people on this site against a large portion of the black community.  Its funny that calling a spade a spade is now "RACIST"

There are certainly flag supporters who are racist. There are probably anti-flag supporters who aren't racist. The point is the anti-gay, flag supporting crowd tend to be a narrow minded group stuck in the past. They give conservatives a bad name and as a result we will be stuck with Hillary.

 

My point about pictures is that none of these guys are man enough to show their face. It's easy to talk trash behind a keyboard and none of them would ever own up to it in real life. Heck half of them have never even posted a picture of them and a deer.

I haven't been talking about race issues. I have been discussing the liberal penchant for using race (to name just one trope) as a stick to beat conservatives with in order to push their nefarious, anti-freedom agenda. Now you on the other hand...

 

Oh...And there is nothing proactive about my avatar, which of course is the whole point in adopting it. Only idiotic people with an agenda would deem it provocative. I am taking the flag back for common sense. Nothing more.

Not for nothing and off topic... but this is no more Native American land than Europe is Roman land... every piece of land in the world became what it is today by being conquered by the people that occupy it now. Native Americans were one of a very few that were not completely annihilated by it's conquerors. Bad example!

Actually, checking out the color of my arm, I guess I would have to say that it is pretty much a light tan. Even in the winter time, I don't think I would really call it "white". The fact is that I haven't really ever seen anyone who was really white. And also, I do have a mole on my forearm that is very dark brown. I'm not sure how to factor that in there.

 

At any rate, there is nothing in any of my skin color that I would call "white". So I guess I am a "non-white member". So with that established .... What was the question again???

Whether you believe in creation or evolution there were no humans on this Continent till during the last Ice Age. At best your people can be called First Americans. That may not be true because of some artifacts found in South Carolina that are older and clearly European. Then the artifacts found in Clovis New Mexico. So your people are Invaders to

What's wrong with progressing as a society? Once alcohol was illegal, once pot was illegal. Once blacks and woman couldn't vote. We've moved on. The past is the past and not to be forgotten. But we can move on too.

It's interesting you mention things that couldn't be done in the past, to defend not being able to do something in the future.  You're not defending freedom with that thinking.  You're advocating social engineering.

The cry to take this flag down is simply unjustified.  The Confederate Battle Flag was simply just that, a battle flag. It was never even a National flag, so how could it ever have flown over a slave nation or represented slavery or racism? This myth is continued by lack of education and ignorance. Those that villify the Confederate Battle Flag are very confused about history and have jumped upon a bandwagon with loose wheels.
