What's the craziest excuse you've used to buy a gun you didn't need? I've bought a couple based on trips that I may or may not ever go on.

There was a space in the rack between the 38" long gun and the 39" long gun. This one that's 38 1/2" long will fit right in there.

I found it...right out in the woods...it was just sitting next to that new chainsaw too...and not too far away was that nice Nikon telephoto lens...

People should be more careful about 'losing' stuff in the woods.

I can get this Sig Elite Scorpion and then you can pick out any one you want.  We can shoot together.

 

...i'll add this took place in the gun shop and my suburban, doesn't like guns, mother in-law was with us.  she picked one out said try not to spend too much and then they left.  it worked and I'm still married with a mother in-law who likes me.

LOL!!! Thats exactly what I do!! I was mounting a scope on a rifle a picked up, a few weeks ago and the wife, of course, asked if it was new.  "Nope had this rifle since we lived in the old house..just putting a different scope on it"
