Today marks my one year anniversary off the stinkin' cigarettes!

I can't even seem to keep committed to a wife or girlfriend that long, so this is quite the accomplishment for me!

So... to celebrate the occasion, I'll be tooting on some of my newest favorite orange creamcicle e-jooce out of my electro ciggy !

I was puffing on 24mg of nicotine last year to start, but I'm now down to 9mg nicotine level in my juice and have no problem puffing on 3mg  :smoke:

The decrease in nic levels was never planned, but I got no problems with the way it's working out.

I never imagined in a million years I would be offended by the smell of tobacco smokers, but today, I'm finally disgusted by your stanky butts! :focus:

Thanks guys!

I feel so good about it I couldn't resist giving myself a little pat on the back!

I know the offer has been put out there before by philoshop, but if any of you missed it, and want to quit smoking, I'd be more than happy to send you a "vaping starter package" to get you off  the mosh posh of chemicals  that "Big Tobbacco" got you hooked on.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you ever get tired of dumping $8-$10 a pack of lung busters and want to feel , taste, and smell a HUGE diference,

Congrat on your accomplishment .

I had my last cigarette at 8 am December 24 , 1979 . It took my Father coming down with lung cancer to make up my mind to quit . I weened my self of them and then just quit cold turkey after having smoked a carton a Pall Malls a week when a carton was $5.25 .

Good work, Wooly !!  I'm proud of you, my friend...

Giving up the butts was the toughest thing I ever did...

Now if I could only quit picking my nose, passing gas in public and sniffing bicycle seats, I'll be a regular CHOIR BOY....

Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

I don't see myself falling off this bandwagon anytime soon reverting back to my old tobbacky habits.

I'm at the point now where it would be easier to quit entirely knowing what an affect the ciggs had on me, and seeing how much better I feel now.

There may be hope for you yet Pygmy.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before technology catches up and soon you'll be sniffing on an "e-seat" that smells and tastes just as good.., if not better than the real thing, lol

2/18/08 was my last cigarette. I still enjoy the smoking section of the casinos ..... lol. Also, there are still times when I miss my cigs, but nothing like while I was trying to quit. It was such misery and anguish to get rid of them, that there is no way I would ever go back. But I have no problem with those that still smoke. I know how much I enjoyed cigarettes, and I also know how tough it was to get off them. I remember how obnoxious smokers who quit were. They loved rubbing it in just a little too much. So I try real hard not to be one of those cigarette-snobs.

I used Chantix. I'm not sure whether that really was the cure or just the fact that I finally was really ready to quit.

Congrats Wooly.  I am willing to bet that your sense of smell has improved.

Of course the down-side to that is really smelling that buck you open up field-dressing it that is in full rut.

My grandfather smoked for 30-40 years and quit cold turkey to be able to spend more time with his grand children.  My sister and I are the only ones who remember him smoking 2-3 packs a day - ephysema from smoking was the major cause of his death.  He died in his early 60's when I was in high school.

Every year you stay smoke free going forward, will improve your health.

I never smoked but there is some cigar out there that I like the smell of and it reminds me of my great-uncle that I hunted with in my youth.  i keep wondering what is and what it tastes like, but so far have never tried to find out - probably better off that way.

Congrats to you!!!! How many cameras, lenses, filters, tripods have you gotten in trade for the smokes you've given up? ;-)

I'm two days away from my own one-year quit date buddy. 7/8 is the marker. Thanks for the nudge in this direction my friend! I would have done it anyway, but somehow you gave me the kick in the butt that I desperately needed a year ago.

Smoke-free for 363 days!! Life is so much better.
