Arrow quiver lube

I wasn't liking how much effort I need to put in to remove an arrow from my quiver last year, and thought it was just the design. This year, I found it even harder to pop one back in, so I went online and did a search for "quiver lube". You'd be surprised what the results were.

I was attempted to look at buying a new quiver until I searched under different key words: rubber lube.

Silicone is the solution. You can use a spray, dry, or wet. Divers grease also works. Some fishing reels use silicone lube as well. I happen to have silicone lube from Crosman, so I put a dab on and worked it in. Works better than new(to me anyhow)!

History: this is at least a 7yr old setup do I assume the quiver is also of that age. Your mileage may vary.

I have used Vasoline in the past but you want to use it sparingly. You don't want any residue on your shaft/rest.

Your suggestion sounds better!

The problem I have with Vaseline is that it's a petroleum product, and may have an adverse reaction to certain rubbers. Silicone is very safe on all rubber seals and bushings.

Before I come up with a wise remark I'll say (and when I replied earlier today I was in bed with horrid stomach pain and couldn't sleep) that I think you are WAY over thinking this if you think you're going to damage any parts of your arrow quiver rubber with a TOUCH of Vaseline.  :)

Never try to use hand lotion as a lubricant. Not even when you are drunk and cant find anything else quickly. Trust me.
