Anyone using reduced recoil/lite loads? I shot a bunch through my 30-06 last weekend and it was nice not to have my shoulder in pain. They were Hornady something like 139 grain lite. Put 4 all around the red at 80yards.

Wife using off the shelf Hornady 150 grain in her 7m 08 Savage.

I hear the Remington managed recoil rounds are pretty good.

Just picked up a ruger american 30-06 for a steal. Waiting for it and my scope to arrive. I thought more guys would shoot the hornady american whitetail. Any reason any of you dont?

Where did you find this "steal".... If you don't mind me asking...I am looking for one in .308. Was yours topped with a redfield?

My hunting buddy sighted in my Savage with 180 grain bullets at 160 yards the other day. Inch or two grouping at that distance. Not sure from what company they were from.  He also shot 4 or 5 rounds of the Hornady 125 grain reduced recoil at the same 160 yard range.  Great grouping, few inches, only the wind pushed them to the right nearly two feet.

HocK3y24,

I just purchased 2 Boxes of the 130gr Winchester XP for my 270.  the season for rifle up north here is closed but I have yet to

sight in my new Rifle. I am waiting for my tripod to come in the mail, then i will go to the range.

Question is,that you mentioned useing Winchester XP,s. How do they shoot and did you connect on any deer useing them ?

If so, how did they perform on the deer ?

Thanks,  12/08/2015
