filled my cars gas tank.....

Yesterday...I shop at Tops and save those gas points as long as I can... Well I got some coupons  and double points (also double for gander buying gas) with monopoly points as well...get to pumps and swipe my card...Gas price came up  75.999 cents per gallon...lol I hit the shut off mark but a little at a time squeezed enough out of that nozzle to get me up to 10.00 to fill the tank...I drove in on pretty much fumes...lol

 

I believe I can say that will probably never happen again in my life time....Mr B is going to frame the dated receipt...hahahahaha

Cool…..The Speedway gas stations (old Hess) give you points every time you spend and swipe your card. So far Im up to around 25 cents off per gallon. Im going to keep going till its really worth it….

Yeah really……I remember when throwing 3 bucks in the tank got you through a Saturday night of bar hopping!!! LOL!!…..Even while stomping on a 4 barrel carb all night!!

I have pull up and filled my 150 gallon tank mount on my pickup when we have gas points there. Savings can really add up. Of coarse, they make up some with their higher grocery prices.

If I remembering reading correctly you just moved to the Selkirk area right? Cumberland farms has the smart pay thing to save ya 10 cents off each gallon. It's not a huge discount but I've been using it for 3 years on both my car and my wife's and we've saved a little over a thousand bucks last I checked. And it's the only type of fuel discount I've seen in our area.

I think gas was just under a dollar when I started driving , it was cheap enough that I didn't care what spilled out from behind the license plate when I stood on the nova with a full tank.

you inspired me to start using my Speedway Rewards Card...

Fastrack give you something like 10 cents off a gallon with their card . No cost for the card but it works like a Debit card . On Sundays , they give either an additional 7 cents or 10 cents off of a gallon . FREE coffee on Fridays . 

They also have Ethonal Free gas . I see a lot of the Landscapers filling up at Fastrack .

Adjusted for,inflation we're paying today about the same as people did in the early '60's and less then the 1,930's .
