Its mirrored all over the web not by this a$$'s, so I see no harm in posting this link: http://nypistoldb.110mb.com/

Messed up if you ask me..  Its a CSV file, you need to open it with excel 2008 or higher and or a text editor because its a large file.
NY has the highest yearling buck harvest rate of all the states in the country. 63% of the total statewide buck harvest are 1.5-year-old bucks. Antler Restrictions promote buck survival, healthy social behavior, increased  breeding / rut behavior, as well as mature the herd to a nature state.

So I went to the site entitled "Who's Packing? NY" and noticed that they have nothing stating who they are and why they created the website. Unless I missed it, the authors of the site seem to have gone out of their way to be anonymous. I sure would like to know just who is behind publishing that info on the internet.

Yes, I see that our own state government saw fit to make that info public record ........ and that is an unneccessary invasion of privacy in its own right, but who are these people that thought it should be made available on the internet and what is their agenda?

Anything public record is available on the internet. How would you like to be a big wig in a publicly traded company? Your salary info is out there.

I just wish I would have known that my name and address would be public record with that, but if you have a home phone, the same info is available in any phone book.

Is that legal to have a list of holders open to the web?

They shut the first site down...  But you can thank the New York State Troopers for releasing that list.

It's kind of like a Shoppers Guide for crooks looking for specific weapons to steal ...... eh? A burgular's shopping list ..... lol.

From the article in the New York Outdoor News, it sounds like a lot of fancy computer work was used to hide the originator of the internet posting. I think we know it is something done by one of the many anti-gun groups. It's just a question of which one. It's just some more harrassment techniques by anti-gun zealots. Unfortunately it was aided by the stupidity of the government policies.

Well if there are any cases where any one of these people are burglarized, then I can only pray they use the gun to its full potential in self defense.

Its also public record to request all the requests what were made on that list to find out who the person was that requested that information.  So request away to our great state of NY.

it's an invasion of privacy to list the names of law abiding citizens like that, heck lawmakers had to jump thru hoops to get a law passed to list the names of low life, pond scum child molesters on the net because it was an invasion of their privacy!!! >;)
