  1. Well I finally got a coyote call and a decent light for clearing some coyotes out. I've read and watched alot about picking and setting a stand, but I have a question I feel is best answered within state. Once I get a coyote, what should I do with it? My understanding is that the pelts dont go for hardly anything. And do u skin it out just like I would a deer? If pelting it isnt worthwhile, I know I can start a pile. 2. Had to cook a bit longer in the oven as the wife didnt like the look of the super rare even though it was at safe temp. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks to all you for the info. I was able to do a venison roast that weekend. Came out great. Was able to maintain temps at 200. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  4. Guinness. Should add the smoke only comes out door jamb when top vent is closed. And that fully closed is still 10% open Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  5. Got me a smoker for chrustmas. Just a nice little starter propane job. Need tips for a venison roast tomorrow. Ideal temp and time? I also need to get a wireless or wired thermometer. Some utensils and gloves. I have a little of bit of smoke coming out the sides of the door gaps, dont worry about or is there a DIY fix? Doing a break in now. Oiled all surfaces after cleaning. Doing a mesquite soaked 10 hrs. And the water from the soaking mixed with guiness. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for all the input guys.. They sent me a new break. Got it installed and chain on correctly. It's working good. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  7. Found the manual free online! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  8. Where Do you oil? Behind the sprocket? I do not have a manual for the saw currently. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  9. Yes the chain is on backwards. Thanks for pointing it out. I still have some small parts to replace on it so I wont be using it till spring. Just assembled in current form to make sure the brake was the initial issue. Og brake did not stop the chain. The model number for the saw comes up as husqvarna also. I dont know if that improves the saws status. I'm just under 100$ all in. For a working saw. With plastic case, sharpening system and 3 chains. Not bad imo for a first saw that will only get used for spring deer property maintenance. I have chaps and a helmet/face shield as well since I'm a safety sally. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  10. I want to say thanks for all the advice yall. I really appreciate it. I contacted the company I bought the brake from to see about return/exchange. After comparing the original and new brake. The new one was slightly smaller. And it rubbed in a spot on the clutch even when disengaged. They called it defective and shipped me out a new one free of charge. Just got it in the mail and it fits better. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  11. Also is it possible to just pull the internals out of the melted brake and put them into the old one? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  12. So it seems the consensus is the housing for the brake is possibly too small. Or by revving it with the brake on it generated too much heat. Aka user error. I'm only I to this saw for 90$ total. I'm fine with throwing another 50 at it. If I do. Are there some internal bushings or anything I should get since I revved it a bit with the brake on? 13. I should add that since she started rough I let it warm up a minute and then gave some throttle with the brake on. Then disengaged the brake and she ran. Some googling tells me that revving it with the brake on can do this? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  14. Lol thanks for the help. Bought it used in rough shape. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  15. Should clarify. One pic is the old brake. One is the melted new brake. Now that I think about it.. could a bar that is too tight cause this? There was some slack in the chain but not so much I could pull the teeth out of the guide. Or did I clean the flywheel too much thereby getting rid of all lube and I should have relubed it?
