  3. I just bought the xop hand climber (XOP Strike Force). Paid $198 inclusing shipping. Its almost identical to the lone wolf except it also has a 4" thick seat. Havent tried it yet, but its nests well and seems solidly built. Compared to my timbertall this bad boy feels like half the weight. I Love my tibertall dont get me wrong though. 4. Im a new hunter too (self taught) and have been hunting for 4 seasons now. I also hunt only public land. Strongly suggest getting a bow. Its much harder to get an animal with a bow, but the season is much longer and you have significantly less pressure. And trust me you'll need the longer season because it will take many hunts before you get something. It took me 3 years to harvest a deer. I learned A LOT from listening to podcasts. Hunt fish journal is great. A few others are pretty educational too. Look into how to field dress. The first time is definatelly a learning experience. Google maps your area and find small local patches of land where its not posted. If its green its a state park (no hunting). If you are not sure call DEC, theyre pretty nice and friendly they will let you know if its huntable. Look into scent control - most important. Also strongly sugest to get a treestand (climbing one) otherwise theres a strong possibility that someone will steal your setup. Quickly you'll realise that its a very expensive hobby/sport, but most rewarding. You get to bring home pure, tasty organic meat Have fun and enjoy. Good luck Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
  5. I use a timbertall and love it. Its great for going waay up and has the self leveling for those trees that get much thinner on top. I feel so safe with it tgat i stopped wearing the safety harmess. The top is tethered to the bottom and top is also tied to the tree so no way for either piece to just fall off. The only issue is its quite large and anless tied together nicely it makes a racket carrying. (I made a kit for tying together and used pipe foam insulation wrapped with cano tape to make it more silent. Never tried lone wolf but its one that id like to try it just seems like a very light setup. Would be great for those deep woods sits. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
