He found him! Saw his buck laying down with his head up right on the path he walks back home to. So he just stood there from a distance and watched him. Said the buck got up at least 10 times and would stumble a couple yards and lay back down for a while. He calls me to tell me this and I tell him I'll be there in half an hour. Said as soon as he hung up the phone the buck put his head down, kicked around a little and died. When i get down there I'm trying to walk as quietly as I can and he yells to me "it's ok, he's f'n dead" Straight up gut shot. Had to toss the tenderloins and ribs but everything else is perfectly fine. 120lb spike. So happy for him. He's been struggling these past few seasons Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

The answer was not to rattle. Barely caught a glimpse through the trees of 2 does (maybe fawns) feeding in the field... 15 minutes later see them again further away and headed away from me. Figured I'd hit the rattles a little and hope they had a buck nearby. Hit them together a couple times and see 2 flags go up and high tail it directly away from me. Thought they would either come to it or ignore it all together. Didn't expect to spook them like that Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

Had a buck run by here at 9am yesterday. That's a good sign. Also had an owl come say hello right at sunrise. Nice morning so far. I'll be here all day unless me or my father in law shoots something. Might check cams midday. Have fun out there! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
