    I shot two doe a few years ago on a farm in 3m. When the farm hand heard about my success he said " oh good, I've been dumping some old corn over there so the deer would come."     I've used "yak traks" in the past. They are more like chains then cleat. Eventually they will wear out, but they are pretty low profile.

    I'm wondering hunting in that would reduce repeat trespassers. I'd be a little freaked out if I was confronted by a pink bunny, especially if the bunny guy added some creepyness/mental illness to it.

    A guy down the road sells it raw ($12/quart). My wife raves about how she can "taste the hive" but it seems like normal honey to me. Is anything added to commercial honey? Its naturally bacteria resistant so I wouldn't see why there would be a need?

    I'm switching from buckets and stainless taps to tubing. I have 30ish buckets and taps if anyone wants to make an offer. I bought tubing and taps for 250, though I won't put them all in. I plan to set up a second cast iron bath tub so that I can have two fires at once. The amish sell food grade totes and barrels for $5 and $20 respectively so I might set up some storage and gravity feed stuff. My goal is to make more than I can use, and not to spend much money

    I mixed things up a bit and tried some public land this afternoon. Dobbins State Forest in 9M was a mess. The logging operation left tops everywhere and briers chest high. I"m sure the deer will love it in a few years, but the tracks were few and far between today. I guess I'll go back to the family farm and watch some bushes tomorrow.

    I've got orange bibs, hat, neck gaitor, and gloves. Is there really a reason not be be orange? I guess if a person enjoys getting shot, it might be a way to make things happen... In PA you can ride a motorcycle without a helmet, but you have to wear orange to hunt. In NY you have to wear the helmet but orange is optional. I just don't get this country sometimes.

    9k is looking better. After several days of sideways snow and the deer not moving the light winds are a welcomed change. My dad came up from PA and has only seen one deer since the season opened. Maybe today is his day... Sent from my SM-S766C using Tapatalk

    Pulled a card and it looks like i have a buck working the scrape every 12 hours so would decided to sit thos stand by the property line.     Anyone have suggestions for calling/grunting? Every 10 min I've been yelling "apples, get your apples! Yellow ones, red ones, trees full of apples." Should i be mentioning they are free?
