  1. Let's hit bottom dollar: $250 shipped or $225 FTF. It won't go any lower nor will I accept lower offers. I am also including 3 replacement buttstock pads (thinner plastic ones) that say "ithaca gun co inc" Each one is just slightly longer than the next. I am not sure which one is the exact fit but one should work. I was planning on using one to replace the aging rubber aftermarket buttpad when refinishing the stock.
  2. How about $250 FTF (at ffl of course) or $275 shipped to your FFL of choice? Feel free to make a best offer.
  3. Selling a Ka-bar Original Fighting Knife. Purchased about 2 yrs ago from Cabelas. Never used. Only admired. Brand new condition. Knife made in USA (Olean, NY). Sheath made in Mexico. From the website: Oval handles are constructed of compacted leather disks that are smoothed and polished for a sharp, distinctive contrast with the Black epoxy powder-coated, buff polished blade. Blades are fashioned from 1095 high-carbon steel and sharpened to razor-sharp edges. Blade length: 7" Overall length: 11-7/8" Includes: knife, sheath, paperwork, and box. Asking $70 shipped, $60 FTF in Schenectady area.
  4. Let's try a price drop: $275 FTF (at ffl of course) or $300 shipped to your FFL of choice. I'm willing to entertain best offers. If you want to trade for your pump-action Remington 7600, then I am possibly willing to throw in some money on top of the ithaca to make up any difference.
  5. Cheering for the Steelers to pull off an upset (it would be the greatest sb victory in history!).
  6. I would say $100-125 for string and cables. I would suggest getting a drop away rest (e.g. hdx)
  7. I have an Ithaca 37 12 gauge, modified choke, takes 2 3/4 shells only. The serial number puts the manufacture date in early 1947! The gun is solid and cycles smooth. I own several Ithaca's and purchased this one with the intent of refinishing it, but after 10 years in the safe she still sits untouched. The wood is in good condition, no cracks or major chips. Some handling marks (the gun is almost 70 yrs old!) on the stock. It appears that a previous owner tried to refinish the wood once before since you can see small runs in the clear coat in places. It should strip off easily and refinish nicely. The bluing has come off in a lot of places, but there is no rust. Some very light discoloration in a few places (mainly under the pump forearm) but I expected that it would re-blue quite nicely. There is a small amount of light pitting on the bottom of the receiver. The bore is in very good shape. Even if the purchaser is not interested in refinishing it, the gun is solid and would make for a great field gun. I am asking $300 FTF in the Albany - Schenectady - Rotterdam area (several good FFLs in the area where the transfer can take place). Buyer is responsible for transfer fees. The only interested trades would be for a Remington 7600 (pump-action) rifle in deer-suitable calibers. I will post pictures soon.
  8. I always remember to stretch before and after a workout along with a little bit of cardio (I hate cardio, hence just a little bit). When and how much to stretch is a topic that is continually debated but I know what works for me. I also find that glutamine helps me to recover faster. Put it in your protein shake (assuming that you take one after your workout).
  9. I think having boots too tight has always been my problem. Feet get cold even with 2-3 pairs of socks on. Always wanted to try those heated insoles for boots.....just never could get myself to spend that much on them (mainly afraid that they would break shortly after purchase).
  10. Whole-heartedly agree. A serious question (and being asked with curiosity and respect): I wonder if those who are against shooting each other with nerf guns are also against the use of water guns? I would think that they would be, but perhaps not. The nerf rules in my house with my two younger ones are no purposeful head shots (full face gear always worn), no shooting non-combatants, and the verbal white-flag must be obeyed at all times. Never did get into airsoft. Those buggers can hurt.
  11. Yes, I am a few miles away from plotter kill. Fortunately there are a few access points to the lake (e.g. the little convenience store) that you can walk onto lake. Once on the ice, you can walk to wherever you like.
  12. I use them to give firearms a "quick cleaning" when at the range if shooting a bunch and trying to sight a firearm in, if they were in the safe for a while, or if I was out hunting and only fired 0-1 rounds. I prefer the traditional brush and rod method when wanting to make sure that the barrel is 100% clean of fouling.
