Recent cancellation has left us with an opening during our winter lion hunting season. This is a prime date in January when our snow conditions are at there best. This hunt is fully furnished 6 day cougar hunt with two guides. Working separately each guide covers large amounts of country ensuring we do our best to harvest the biggest cats around. We start our days very early, driving snow covered roads looking for tracks. Once we have located a cougar that you feel you will be happy with we turn hounds loose to do there thing. We use GPS technology to track the dogs and determine the best route for us to reach them. We have trucks, snowmobiles, atvs and horses to ensure we are fully prepared for what ever comes our way. We try in every way to get you as close to your cat before we begin our hike in to the tree. We primarily like to focus on harvesting mature tom lions. We have no objections to letting you pass on a cat in hopes of searching for a larger one. We are so confident finding you a mature cat in 6 days, if we fail we promise to extend your hunt or will bring you back at at our soonest possible time in perfect conditions and only ask you help with the additional expense of fuel. We have a 75% success on mature toms and to date we have a 100% success on mature cougars during our winter hunts. Lodging on this hunt will vary due to the large area of ground we can cover. We typically base out of our home ranch where you will be provided with your own bed and bathroom and be served delicious home cooked meals. We also use a remote mountain cabin that has most of luxuries of home including nice beds, propane light and wood burning heat. We also occasionally stay in a motel if we are hunting the far south end of our permits. price of this hunt is $4,000 ( normally $5,000) We provide all food and lodging during the extent of your hunt.
