I was just on WnW site. There was a thread bashing this site. Why just can't people just move on. A few two faced also. I won't name names but they come back now and then. 4 C son you were bashed like a dog on a bone. CWD nuff said. Just move on people. When this site or your site shuts down, I'll say it now, nice chatting with you.3 points

One of the best Sundays in years here. Took the grand kids with me for the afternoon hunt. We had an action packed afternoon, just falling short of complete. ( No harvest) Cherish every moment they can spend a field with me. Their going to be some great future hunters.3 points

So the lease property we have has a big goldenrod field. I picked an area and put a 1/4 acre food plot. There is a gun stand 40 yards into the woods and a ground blind 15 yards from it. Now this is the second year on the lease and still learning the property. Putting in this plot just draws those deer right to you. I was in the gunstand and saw a bunch of doe in the food plot and then a buck chasing them. We decided to put in a ground blind to see what happens. Well today between 4:00 and last light we had three bucks and a bunch oif doe in there. Doe were first followed by a spike and six point and this bigger guy around last light.1 point

My favorite time of year, all the hunting seasons are open, so most everything is fair game. I am going to start dabbling with varmint calls and see if I can get anything to turn up. I still have a DMP so I may go for another Deer if the right one comes along. I am still looking to kill my first black squirrel, saw one the other day but did not have a shot. The one thing I have completely lost interest in is the Turkeys, I have plenty on them around and have had many opportunities, but they just do not appeal to my anymore. I am looking forward to some bird hunting (Grouse)but I will wait for these overly long Deer seasons to end. The hardest part is being equipped with a firearm that can handle everything and anything that comes into play. Probably one of those combination guns in the right chamberings would fit the bill. The Marlin 62 256 Winchester may work for most game if I can take Squirrels without ruining them, the big game bullets I have loaded for it may just punch hole in small game like a Squirrel, I know I can kill a Deer with it if I get the right shot. Precisely why I didn't join the other site. There were some nice members that left here to go there but a lot of them I don't miss a bit. I could never understand why some just have to stir up crap. Nothing like a good disagreement from time to time but to leave this site to join another and then come back to bash people on this site shows the mentality. Best part is from what I understand a couple of them are moderators on the other site. Bunch of whinebags if you ask me.1 point

Well , I am going to try an afternoon hunt in Mendon tomorrow . Then back to Geneseo on Saturday . Don't know if I am physically able to do an all day hunt . My back is killing me . I did order a rope crank for my Centerpoint Sniper 370 and should get it either Thursday or Friday from Ohio . That might save my back . I need the deer to cooperate !1 point

Lot at stake in this election. Voting is very important and the right of all Americans. You have four years of proven; or four years ( nearly) of open boarders, high crime rates, record inflation, high job losses, Afghanistan nightmare, Record deficit spending. The list just keep growing. You choose.1 point

Tried to Put my dad in the same stand I took my buck for evening hunt yesterday , he decided to sit in the double gun ladder stand 60 yards away, guess what happened, big 6 point with no brows walked right behind him at 10 yards and by the other stand, theirs no shooting lane behind the ladder. Proceeded to walk across the field and destroy a scrape.1 point

Too often, when you hear people complain about losing rights and government interference in their lies, and other malfunctions of government, when you ask them if they voted, they say no and then come up with a list of reasons why. Here is a chance to put your actions where your mouth is......Get out there and vote. This year is more important than ever before.1 point

Out here in 6k trying out a patch of woods I've only hunted a few times. Nothing but a group of turkeys so far. Very little breeze and quiet. There is 5 in the group today so hopefully someone has some luck. Good luck to all those out. Sent from my moto g power (2022) using Tapatalk1 point

I’ve seen almost as many coyotes as deer from the stand I’ve been in, so trying something different. I moved way to the top ridge of my property where I seldom hunt. There are 4 active scrapes 15 yards directly in front of me, and 2 on the trail behind me. It’s pretty up here, slightest of breezes, and comfy in 7M. Happy Sunday!1 point

Ya man. Absolutely no reason for a guy with an outdoor interest not to have more than enough critters to chase. Tis the season.1 point

Frost on the ground, and bucks are moving. Grandchildren built a new blind yesterday. Sat there this am. Long story short, ended up passing on a 3 year old at 40 yards broadside. Thought long and hard on that one1 point

The Deer pantry will be opening up shop in a few weeks and I see they have done some major improvements to the property, the viewing this year should be quite good. I look forward to this every year.1 point

Happy National Bison day, designated our National mammal. Theodore Roosevelt had the lion heads removed from the White House fireplace mantle as they were representative of England and had them replaced with the Bison.2 bison mounts are on display at Sagamore Hill in oyster bay that adorned the walls of TR’s White House.1 point
