  1. Brother got this nice 8 pt tonight. Chasing a doe. We have him on camera the night before doing the same thing. 30 yards xbow. Pass through shoulder. He said it did a back flip before it died. Crazy.

  2. My son and grandson are hunting the whole day in Geneseo . I am going to do an afternoon hunt there and change the camera batteries . So far my son has seen 9 deer but nothing close enough to shoot with the crossbow . My son shot a nice wide rack buck on his property yesterday in Italy Valley .

  3. We have a farm at the beginning of my road. The houses and land are rented to out-of-state hunters. Really nice people that come and go. As I was leaving for work yesterday I noticed a pickup driving along the cut corn, tailgate down and this monster inside. I stopped thinking they would come up the road but they were actually going to gut it in the hedgerow. I left but stopped in on my way home. First off they are such a nice family of hunters and get the job done. The wife shot this in the evening and they backed out. High double lung shot. Found it in the morning just by the way the leaves were scuffed up. It bedded next to a big log. No ground shrinkage here. 13 points non typical. Deer has everything you want! I was so happy for them. They were packing up to move onto a new lease and meeting up with family for thanksgiving. He gave me a half hour to talk about the deer. Congrats to them. I must say that is the biggest I have seen in my area.

  4. Have had quite a bit of chasing going on the last two mornings. A 6 and an 8, I haven't seen before . And of course the young spiker checking the doe bleat.

  6. Dragging my 65 yr old butt outta bed before daylight The older I get the less I hate getting up early to climb into my stand. I like to be in half hour before legal shooting time but I’m starting to enjoy late afternoon hunts more

  7. I feel the same way . At 83 it gets tougher to climb out of bed at zero dark thirty and the drive 50 miles to a hunting spot . I could hunt 10 miles away in Walworth but at my age I don't hunt unless one of my sons is with me . I didn't get to be this old by being too stupid .

  8. I snuck out of work a little early and got into my private lot in 6g just about sun up. I think this is a better afternoon watch but it's only 15 minutes from work so I thought I'd give it a try. Nothing moving so far but what a beautiful morning. Good luck to everyone out. 9. Same here. I'm up at 4 am today to bow hunt this beautiful morning. Last year was a different story and I wasn't sleeping well (sleep apnea). I hardly went in the am. Now that I'm sleeping much better I'm better at getting up, but still at 61 its hard.

  10. Heading out in the am with my dad, and son if he feels good enough to go. If not I’ll sit where I have a direct line of the whole field and watch. I have a doe tag but am not interested in filling it. If my son comes we will be in the blind with the decoy and tarsal glands of one of my bucks. Made 30 lbs of Pasquale’s sweet sausage today also.
