Got bumped off yesterday, January 2nd;, wouldn't load back up . Thought for a moment, it was curtains for the site. I don't know how I could have thought such a thing. Working good now. Anyone one else experience technical difficulties?

Yes I was getting a server error 524. At some point servers need be maintained I guess it was that. Usually you would get a message but as you know dead silence. Glad we are back!

I dont think you need more then 1 mod. when you only have 10 daily active members, just saying....lol

Yes! I was not able to open this site yesterday either. I too thought it was the end for this group of people to get together here. I went on FB (never saw this site on FB before) to see if anyone was saying anything there. Nothing! So, now that we seemed to have had that close call, what is Plan B if it does happen? Has anyone considered this yet? Sort of like a meeting place to do a head count during a fire drill at work. lol. Even though I don’t get a chance to post a lot, I would hate to lose touch with the few that never abandoned ship. I like almost everyone who remained, enjoy reading the posts, and the back and forth conversations.

I’m a tad bit further North then yourself but you sure have me beat in the Snow department. Like Today. Green grass and a dusting here at the farm and 10 miles down 81 are getting total whiteouts. That’s the tough part on the winter travel.

Hey guys thanks. That is what I'm doing . Got an appointment at a local shop and they will do the smoke check on the system. Highly recommended place so I should be ok.

Like four seasons mentioned above, these items are the most likely culprets. But... Im sure you dont want to spend more than you have to on this issue. Being that it is a NY vehicle, there is the possibility that the fill pipe or the top of the fuel pump rotted a hole through it also. It would probably be best to smoke the system and check for leaks before buying any parts for it. You may find a rot hole somewhere or a stuck open vent valve. Very common on those GM's

What code # was thrown? Lots of miles on the ole girl. My guess would be the canister or line and getting it smoked would show something. Anyone in your area just charge you to smoke it and send ya on your way to fix yourself? Smaller shop maybe?

Last afternoon, windy, snow moved East. Hunted in a wind protected area.. Young deer surfaced at quitting time. Great year!

Muzzleloader WNY Buck Sat in a tree for 3.5 hrs. A few doe ran up to me about 10:30. I raised up on one and, pft.... misfire. Saw three run off I put a new primer in and after a few minutes wondered if my powder got wet. It did. Pushed the bad load out with my ram rod and pushed my ram rod through with a stick from the tree I was in. Reloaded and waited till noon. Got down and walked through the wet leaves in silence with the wind in my favor. Followed a trail of fresh scat piles every 50/100 yds and as I popped my head over a hill/mound i saw him standing about 70 yds looking in my direction. I knew he couldn't smell me. I raised up quick, pulled the hammer back lined him up and squeezed. As the smoke cleared I saw two more deer run off that were with him. I reloaded quick and peered through my binos. ? New York has an overabundance of deer with declining hunter numbers, so the length of the season is moot. I start hunting the first week of NT muzzleloading, but dont get serious until snow is on the ground. the past few years it has been so warm early on I didnt hunt much at all...then, right before my last week of NT that I always take off, we got 3 feet of snow which effectively put an end to my hunting. I was delighted at the chance to get out with the late season in the southern tier. My problem is, I am new to the ST and am still working on access sites that are worthwhile. I dont know how any one would critique an increase in hunting opportunity.
