  1. Saw Rinella handle this debate pretty well on the meat eater channel. Don't think I have seen anyone neuter an argument better. Apologies if it's been posted before. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk

  4. The problem I have with Vegans is you will know they are vegan in the first 5 minutes of any conversation...lol. I get it, it is your choice how you want to eat. No need to announce it every time you turn around. EVERY TIME they are offered anything, rather than politely saying no thank you, They come out with "No, I can't, I am Vegan". I know it isn't all becasue the ones that just go about their business you would never know. They are like the Jehovah Witnesses of food.

  5. Waiting for me on my doorstep today. I picked up a Savage model 12 heavy barrel back around Christmas as a present for myself. It's been waiting in the safe since then for some (hopefully) nice glass. My first Vortex scope, but bought it after buying Vortex binoculars last year. Really liked the binos for that price point. Got a pair of weaver bases and the Grand Slam rings. Should all slide together nicely, with a touch of blue loctite, and be torqued down correctly . Hopefully first bangs downrange this weekend!

  8. I agree, to an extent. Cuomo will try, however, and there a lot of sheep/followers who will drink that koolaide. Being NYer's who have lived under that thumb, it's our job to make sure that the rest of the country knows where he stands if/when the time comes. The same can be said for Gillibrand. These are not good people.

  12. All done packing and now kicking back with a couple of Southern Tier Science is the Art Collection. Double IPA beers with different combinations of hops. Very good. The packing is for a wild boar Hunt in Tennessee. Four of us hunting and four wives enjoying some time in Nashville while we hunt. Should be a great trip.

  13. There has probably been more deer in NY shot in red and black, green or grey wool plaid than anything else. Watch your scent, don't skyline your silhouette and move slowly and you'll find out it really doesn't make that much difference.

  15. I renounced my membership to NYB many years ago. I didn't like being told who the enemy was, (anyone who didn't hunt strictly with a bow) . I got the feeling some of the members there were more anti, than the anti's! JMO.

  21. I was in Webster today and stopped off at WalMart . They had some Trail Cams on clearance and I saw a Moultrie W-30iTC . Got the last one for $19 . It was originally $79 . It came with batteries and a 8 GB SD card . I really didn't need it but it was such a bargain .

  24. hey guys just my two cents im a diabetic and i have to watch my diet and i have added veggies MORE to my diet im a meat hunter [ my dad use to say you cant eat antlers] and venison is the MOST healthiest meat there is. EVEN uncle ted [ ted nugent] if you watched his show does the 80/ 20 rule that is 80% healthy and 20% junk. Yes i have see fat vegans [pizza is vegan food lol]. Carbs and anything white is a killer for me sugar flour ect.. And see being italian i know my carbs lol but see italians in italy dont eat like italian americans. People from naples are called leaf eaters. its all about balance like the chinese ying and yang thing

  26. it doesn't matter that much. you're over thinking it. just get what you'll hunt deer with. for turkey hell they make cheap light weight cover suites. it'll be potentially hot during spring turkey season and cold during deer season so same set of camo won't serve you as well for both.

  29. The recent sub-zero temps froze the shorelines up in some of my spots on Champlain. I went out for half a day yesterday. There was 14" - 18" of decent ice and almost no snow on top. The fishing was really slow, but it beat sitting around at home. Managed a meal of perch for some of my older neighbors and a big meal of crappie and bluegills for us. The bass and pickerel were crazy! I landed over a dozen largemouth and a couple pickerel and got broke off/cut off 5 times. I still haven't found or replaced my digital camera, and I don't have a smaht phone. Sorry, no pics.

  34. Do not have a clue about the masculinity-femininity angle of this article, I have heard that there is some truth that anyone, "man or woman" that just eats plants does a lot of farting! As for myself I just stick with the old novel method of choosing food, if it tastes good I will eat it! Al

  35. He can throw is hat in the ring if he wants, but he will NEVER be POTUS. I can guarantee you that. Trump can be an arrogant cuss too, but the kind of arrogance that Cuomo possesses won't get him elected dog catcher nationally. Bill Clinton and Obama were tame compared to him. He clung onto his daddy's coattails to the governership, but that's as far as he is going to get.

  38. Thank you all for the replies. I really appreciate them. It doesn't flare up often these days ( in the past I have spent more then a day or two in the hospital ), and when it does, it's usually gone in a few hours. It hurts like hell when it does flare up. ____________________________________ FSW, they keep warning me about that. It can lead to cancer, and can lead to, let's just say a "bad outcome" on it's own. _____________________________________ Today was the first day I was able to sit upright for more then an hour ( or even walk around not looking like a cave man ). So spent time alternating between looking at public land maps for turkey hunting and walking around to stretch my legs.

  45. Voluntary rate of compliance is equal to or higher than most states where it is required. Combine this with one of the lowest hunting accident rates the question becomes would adding another regulation make a real difference? There too a case could be made that not seeing orange implies a safe background without further due diligence.

  46. I know. that is probably why it isn't 100% in the poll. There are some that will resist it all no matter if it did actually make sense. I can see their side given how the left has acted.

  47. I'd love to see the questions that they used to determine that. So don't put too much faith in what that means. "Would you support gun control to keep guns out of the hands of Felons?" "Would you support background checks so the mentally ill don't get firearms?" Who is saying "no" to those?
