Tuned! Feeling real good about my shooting again after a tough dry spell. Had to go back to my earlier lower anchor. Took me a few days to get the bareshafts hitting perfect with fletched but no more tweaking. If I miss, it ain’t the tune.

Last night I made venison chili. 2lbs venison burger, onions, green peppers, celery, can of rotel, 2 cans kidney beans, 1 can black beans, 1 can vegetarian white beans, himilayan salt, pepper, chili seasoning, 2 cans crushed tomatoes. Pic of leftover chili still in glass canning jar coming. Top it with sour cream and mild cheddar cheese and crackers. Leftovers got to love them.

Thanks all. Heading to brewery midday to get growler filled. Early local steakhouse dinner at 430pm because I need to be home by 6:09pm for Michigan Final Four game. Having our family easter dinner today so made deviled eggs to start. Added in some garlic parmesan wing sauce and bacon bits. Something new.

Thanks everyone , I’ve been blessed , I dropped out of college twice, don’t have the skills to be a tradesman , but I’m dumb enough and strong enough , to not only do stupid stuff, but try to beat others to,it . Its certainly bitter sweet, I’ve postponed it before ,, but now it feels right, there are 5 LTs and Capts leaving in May, my era has passed . The union meetings , the Christmas party’s, last day in trips to the bar , camping trips ,canoeing , family Easter egg hunts, cook outs , weddings and funerals, hunting with each other , fishing tournaments , trips to,water parks ,we always did stuff together , that I will miss . We have baseball teams, hockey teams , a bow league ,bowling , there is so much to do , when you get this job . My wife is concerned I’ll miss all that, and I will, but it’s time . Again , Thanks

Wife and I went to the range and burned up a couple 100 rounds of 38 reloads in our LCR’s . Been awhile since we had gotten the cc guns out to shoot them, I was shooting high for a bit but settled down. My target is on the left, I think we shot preety good at 15 yards

But the vitriol Hogg spewed toward Dana Loesch and Marco Rubio (who both remained very calm though they could easily have taken the kid off at the knees) at that "town hall" setup was perfectly fine? Got out to shoot the 30/30 today. Played with hornady lever revolution and Remington soft points. Hornady def had better groups. Nice day to be out , got out before family dinner. I had changed out scopes and put this 2.5 power on. Worked great.

Actually Mr. Hogg and his handlers are directly campaigning to ruin Laura Ingraham's career because she tweeted out something that was deemed 'insensitive'. She has since apologized because it was kind of a dumb thing for her to say, but don't tell me these children have no bearing on anything when they are capable of ruining the life and career of someone they personally disagree with. I agree with your second paragraph. But David Hogg and his handlers have no desire to attack government ineptitude. They actively support it. "Never let a good crisis go to waste". That kind of thing. They revel in it. Not the massacre itself of course, but the blow-back opportunities that the massacre has created. I've also seen no 'credible' reports of threats, death or otherwise against he or his family. Blog posts and anti-Trump websites, but nothing that would constitute serious journalism. What Laura Ingraham (not Ingram) said was wrong, and she's apologized for it. These zealots want to see her stoned to death, burned at the stake, and buried, because she disagrees with them. There's nothing more to it, and it's wrong.

Have to start thinking of not being able to archery hunt except the last 2 weeks when the crossbow is legal. I have the modified archery permit to use draw-loc, but that is way to awkward. Thanks again New York State.

Let my dogs out around 6:20 this morning. Figured they were barking at some deer down in the woods. However, I was surprised to hear 3-4 gobblers a couple hundred yards away. Everytime one of the dogs barked, they sounded off. Listened to them for about 10 min trying to out do my muts. Maybe I've stumbled onto something and I'll bring my dogs turkey hunting. Lol

I have 3 dozen eggs boiling,There has been not 1 year since I can remember that I haven't colored eggs for Easter.Yea! I'm getting older but still enjoy doing them and having the Granddaughter has brang back lots of memories.

Unfortunately my plan will be to wake up early and head to take an Organic Chemistry 2 test. How ever ill be out on May 5th an hour before sunlight in my favorite blind. This year will be a little different as ill be teaching the landowner how to turkey hunt so ill be bouncing around a bit more. Hoping for another great season none the less.

Had fun getting the Creedmoor half dialed in the other day, that I felt compelled to break out the rimfires on a sunny, but cold day yesterday. This is a Savage .22 mag that I bought a year ago and topped of with a cheap Simmons 3-9x .22 mag scope. Got it dialed in last year and this is the first time I just plinked with it for fun. Gave it a couple more clicks up and left for the final adjustments at 100 yds. Was a sweet deal, picked it up at a local gun shop for about $80 off new price. It was traded in or sold from a guy who won it at a gun raffle, but didn't want it. Was never fired. It's well fired now!
