  1. Back about 15 years ago, the state bought the property that borders ours, and opened it up for public hunting. The first couple of years, they would come by the carfulls, to bang pots, sing songs, and shout how hunting defenceless animals was wrong. Worked out perfect, as I dropped two deer that they drove to me!!! We called DEC when they trespassed on our land. And they made them leave the area, ours and the public land. I was sure to thank them both times though, for the deer they put in front of me!!!!!! But got no "hi fives" with my bloody hands.

  2. Does my wife count ? Really she’s glad when I’m not home , thinks I should take up golf as well . There was a big creek bed, which we called “ the big creek bed”, we’d drive all the time, it awesome very thick around it , started very wide and tapered down to,nothing . It was 100 yards or so from a road that paralleled, and also down hill from it, so drivers could look down and see us . You could do the drive with a couple guys and kill a deer, but to cover all the escape routes and have enough drivers to,prevent them circling your needed 10 or 12 guys , which we didn’t always have, but this one woman used to drive the road slow blowing her horn when she saw us ! That was nice as we didn’t have to post as many guys on the other side .Should have got her number ,was a nice help,.

  3. I was harassed years ago dragging a buck out of the woods on my own property . I knew where the individual lived and sometime late that evening a Gut Pile ended up in their driveway ..... interesting huh !

  4. Giraffe in Africa often become nuisance animals that need to be culled. The meat isn't wasted, in fact it's relished by the natives who get it. Nothing wrong with shooting one at all. Too many judgmental people who have no clue what they are talking about.

  9. Used to have a group picket and make a general protest at local 800ac state land about 8-10 years ago. Forest Ranger with jurisdiction didn't do squat, but then a ECO got involved and they seemed to have lost interest last 5 years or so. I have been yelled at and even had State Police called on me walking on the road back to my place during season; SP have no clue at all on environmental laws by the way; so DEC had to come and say I could walk home. LOL

  10. Hunters vs hunters is the worst thing for the sport of hunting. Would I shoot a giraffe nope. BUT taken legally then have at it. There’s a lot of animals I do not have any interest in hunting , there’s lots of different ways of hunting that I wouldn’t do . But in the end if it’s legal then no one should have a problem with it ..

  14. My wife never showed any interest in it and I surely never pushed it on her. I am actually happy as a clam that she doesn't hunt. It's about the only thing I have left that doesn't involve her, so I prefer to keep it that way. It's an escape from the human condition for me.

  15. Had one of my buddies tree stand harnesses for the ladder stand cut and he fell really bad. Broken leg in 3 spots. Be careful and make sure you always check your stand when going in the dark, a few shakes at the bottom and slightly up will help verify no one is trying to kill you! Some of these people are real idiots who could care less about harming another person if it saves one animal. 5 years later they will complain to the DEC about why they have not done anything to cure lyme after they get it a few times. It's illegal to harass hunters, if it happens to you record it so you have evidence! Then let the DEC know.

  16. The worst I ever had it was the neighbor of one of the places I hunt. Once she would hear a shot she would come screaming and call the state troopers on us. Thankfully she moved and we havent had a problem since.

  19. No matter how much of a POS he is. No matter how unpopular the POS is upstate. The POS keeps getting voted in again by NYC. I really don't think he is that popular outside of NYC. So let the POS run for POTUS, he will get his ass handed to him. Then maybe the POS will just go away,

  22. What's kept my wife and I together all these years, is we each have our own interests. I don't shop, and she doesn't hunt and fish. She's a city girl, I'm a bumpkin, nobody ever thought we would last. We've outlasted most of the naysayers. If my grandsons had turned out to be granddaughters There Is no doubt, we would still share outdoors time together. I thinks it's very cool to see women and young ladies, enjoying the outdoor stuff.

  43. I had one woman for two years follow me out to my stand on property I had permission to hunt, screaming and hollering that i couldn't be here. The first year she called the sheriff every time I went in and always had to show my license to them when I came out until she had cycled through about every deputy there was. They basically came every time she called (said they had to) but by the end of the season they just waved at me or if I was walking out they would chat a bit. At the end of that season she got in my face and we had a very loud chat and believe it or not I think I used a few words she hadn't heard before...lol. The next year (after the Hunter harassment law went into effect) she picked right up on opening evening where she left off. and I got out of the stand after videoing her and handed her a print out of the law. I said I was giving her one chance to disappear or the sheriff would be at her house. We've never seen her again.

  50. Shows how clueless you are about the state and CWD. Property owner, sick deer on video, DEC would take the deer without a word said of being out of season. So tell me you shoot a sick thin fox nosing around your house would get you a ticket? Negative !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
