GREAT picture...... I have a bus story of my own: Back in '75 or '76 my buddy and I were dog tired after hunting rabbits all morning and part of the afternoon. We were only a couple miles north of Springwater when we headed for home. As we walked along the shoulder of RT 15A we stuck our thumbs out looking for a ride. Lo and behold who stops to give us a ride but a Greyhound bus, empty of course. The driver said as long as the guns are unloaded, he'd take us as far as we wanted. He dropped us off at Lawrence Hill Rd and wished us well. Talk about a "not in a million years" again deal!!

Made a nice chili today.

Got a cinnamon roaming the countryside.. Behind it was another young black bear. Im guessing a wandering young pair.. Lots of bear on camera this year it seems. Every card pull has bears on it this summer.. More than years past..

lol, just aced my stress test 2 weeks ago. Funny side note to that. Very attractive female technician say " take off your shirt" I refrained from saying "is this the game of I show you mine if you show me yours?"

18 days to go now. I wasn't in the mood until last week,but now i am psyched!!! Got my tags,and got a DMP. I have been shooting the bow for only a week now,but i will be ready. Not like one forgets everything about it. Last year i practiced a ton and never shot at a deer,this year i am doing the reverse,hehehe. I have not moved any stands,gonna take it easy for the first part of October. Leisure hunting,then i will hit it hard come late October,early November. I have been eating a lot of venison these last two weeks,that helps with the motivation as well...

HSS vest for me just clips on like a life vest has nice deep pockets and can attach right to a tree strap. I only hunt ladder stands now but do a lot of standing vs sitting and this is quite comfy

My whole life I have picked out particular things that interest me and then it is full speed ahead until I get my fill and become as proficient as I possibly can. Hunting with handguns was one of those deals I delved into with an obsession. When I first got my handgun permit and my first handguns I joined a Bullseye target shooting league to learn how to shoot accurately and once I could hit something handguns were all I used for several years of hunting. Squirrels, Woodchucks, Rabbits, Coon and Deer were what I hunted mostly. Like a bow the range with handguns is limited which in my opinion makes for a better hunter as you have to learn skills and techniques how to get close. Squirrel hunting is the toughest, they are a small target and sharp eyed, I would say anyone that can limit out consistently with a open sight handgun on Squirrels (not me) is one hell of a hunter and a real good shot. I saw about 150 deer in bow season last year, i think 3 in gun. Its so nice to see unspooked deer, 5 bucks chasing the same doe, bucks fighting.

i only shoot 52 lbs arrow goes right thru.. more lbs more injuries to your shoulder especialy when your cold and stiff

A buddy and I split a three pack. We each have an arrow with the lighted nocks and the first guy that shoots a deer gets the third. Lol. We did this for the first year we used them to try them out. We both loved them so got some more each. So now I shoot the green and he shoots the red so that if we are out hunting together we don't get them confused. Lol. And if we both get a deer it will be like Christmas lights in the woods. Lol.

I made one and it worked great.The problem for me is i'm not up the fulltime and the smell from the dead mice was nasty.I also used a peanut butter jar instead of the roller.
