  1. Well it's not huge but it's venison and it's my second Bowkill so I'm stoked! A spike still in velvet. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

  3. I inadvertently caught a coyote in my bobcat set last January. Rather than taking the time to skin , flesh and ship off one pelt for a measly $30.00 - 40.00 , I decided to have another mount done. Only this time I wanted to incorporate the trap on the coyotes back foot as it appeared when I walked up on him. I figured it might be different then the basic life size mount.

  6. I refuse to lease, I feel it’s a terrible waste of money. Yes it’s cheaper payments but you don’t have anything at the end of the 3 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. I’m 59 , owned two new cars ‘91 and 2018 . Never leased never made payments till the ‘18 and only because of zero percent financing , put the money in a fixed account at 3% best I could do short term . Just bought a truck ‘17 3k miles . i dont lease , same as I don’t rent my TV or house . Leases allow people to,drive a vehicle they can’t afford to buy ,which I guess works for some , especially the dealers .

  15. Well.... in for the morning. Dad saw 5 bucks. 2 that wouldn’t make “3 up” antler restriction. One that would have passed AR, but too small to waste his one buck tag on first morning. And a large 8pt and large 10pt sparring across his swamp, but never came closer than 53 yards. It’s nice to see the old man invigorated right out the gate. I saw a squirrel... 28. Those are the guys tight lining anyways. I have already been bashed for bashing that style of fishing, but I don't really care. Most "pier guys" are decent enough to know when to reel em in. But, there are plenty of guys that think boats have to stay outside since they have a boat but when the fish are in they are the only ones allowed to fish the pier area. What would I have done.... Well, what seems more valuable, a 4$ Cleo or a prop, spline, impeller, water pump even motor???? All things that can get jacked up with fishing line twisted all in there. I'd have definately delivered his line back to him, especially if he was barking at me. Or maybe just tie it off to the boat and see if he has his cutters handy. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

  30. You really had no other choice, the guy on land was probably arrogant, and full of himself anyways, seeing as how he left his line out in the boats travel paths....I look at it as if someone was playing hockey in the road, and left all their stuff blocking the road...you really expect the cars to wait until you're done playing hockey? Same sort of deal with you, and the fisherman. Fisherman should have just reeled in for 2 minutes for you to pass by. The whole situation was just unnecessary.

  31. Probably should have stopped, untangled the line from the prop, rolled it up into to a ball, turned around, and when you got close enough tossed it back to him.

  39. The biggest boar I ever shot weighed 100 lb dressed...The meat was good, but not great..You could tell it was a boar... My buddy shot a 175 dry sow in the same place...It was EXCELLENT !! The rest of the piggies I shot were 40 pounds or less..They were very tasty...

  43. 9/28/2018 Luna and I went on a track this morning for a mature double drop ten pointer that was shot yesterday evening. The hunter (his first bowshot deer) and 2 others searched for a couple hours last night and followed very light blood for 300 yards before losing the trail. Luna wasn't able to pick up anything at the hit site, probably due to windy conditions in the field, so we headed in the direction the buck had run. The blood started at about the 100 yard mark, a small drop here and there. Luna took us past the last of the flagged blood, then into a very thick bedding area. In the bedding area, she started her pitched bark, indicating a live deer. We saw several beds while in there, none with blood. I let Luna take me 400 yards into a swampy area without seeing any blood, then picked her up and carried her back to flagged blood and did a restart. She took exactly the same route, so I let her continue this time and we ended this 1000 yard track at the edge of a large, deep swamp. The hunter had left the arrow in his Dad's vehicle, but sent me some pictures of the fletching. I see a couple white hairs and a little meat, and he said the rage broadhead had fat on it. I believe this may have been a brisket shot.
