  1. My hunting partner just told me of an elderly neighbor who doesn't have enough firewood. So instead of hunting with our smoke poles, we will be cutting firewood off the farm this weekend instead.

  4. So my girl has been asking for some closet space for the last 5 months or so (there is only one closet in the room) and last night she said she had enough of living out of dressers and that I had to remove my hunting stuff from the closet or she was going to leave. Now granted my closet is crammed with hunting stuff but I have nowhere else to move it to. I guess I'm gonna miss her!

  8. I am single! I am looking for someone that cooks and does they're own laundry. They can not touch my motorcycle unless cleaning it or changing the oil. They must come with own guns. Bonus for me if they own hunting land. Lol. I am sure I am asking for too much

  15. Sorry for your loss. When you lose your Dad, you lose a part of yourself. I lost my Dad, my one and only hunting partner, 12 years ago to a sudden massive heart attack. Hunting season is always bitter sweet. I left his stands up and it's still painful walking by those stands. I've used his guns every year ever since he passed, just to feel like he's still out there with me. Hearing all the stories of guys losing their Dad's reminds me of a song that I hear often, "You Should Be Here" by Cole Swindell. About a guy that misses sharing those special times with his Dad. It ends with him at his Dad's headstone.... Pretty sad. (The first 40 sec is slow, but he's telling his Dad about something big in his life.)

  28. You know the sad part is, think about the guys that do only own one gun and only hunt deer. If this bill passes they will give up hunting and dec will loose a ton of hunters/ license sales ..

  34. I have friends from all walks and do not like to put labels on anyone to denegrate, to me it does not make a difference how much money one has or the home they live in. Be you rich, poor or in the middle somewhere I don't much care, it is about the life one lives and how they go about treating other folks. Good people are just good people no matter what their means or background is. Al

  36. Let's see... I grew up in a suburb and got an education. I work as a commercial litigator in a large-ish law firm. If it's during business hours, I am probably wearing a suit and tie. My truck is pretty clean (though there's no carpet in the bed). I generally use proper english. I prefer scotch to beer. I am politically conservative, but probably not for the reasons that you think. I haven't been to church since I was 14 and I don't intend to go in the future unless someone gets married or dies. At the same time, I love the outdoors, fast cars, big trucks, and immature jokes. When I'm not wearing a suit and tie, I wear greasy jeans and boots. I sometimes chew Redman. If I'm going to drink beer, its the cheapest stuff I can find and comes in a can. I fix my own things, and do my own work around the house. If I see free pallets behind a building, I take them...just in case. I turned my shed into a duck house and there are currently 6 ducks in there laying farm-fresh eggs. So, am I a redneck? Who the hell knows...

  37. It will come loose...Like Biggamefish said, soak it a bit, then boil it...(Outside if you live with any other humans). If you pressure washer it, don't spray in the nose/ up from the sinuses....you will blow all the delicate little bones out. If you soak it long enough. most everything will come off. I have had pretty good luck with just an air hose...again, careful with the pressure on the sinus / nose area.

  40. No deer hunting for me today. I’m out smoking some deer and salmon I caught on the salmon river and doing a little duck hunting by the river. The complete lack of sucks I saw driving along the river made me think I wasn’t going to see a single duck, but after 20 min in my spot 2 black ducks came in cupped and I walked away with one. No decoys or calls, just sitting in a spot they like to go. I’ll be back out in an hour or so to try again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  42. Two years ago today started off like every other day of hunting with my dad, brother and I. The three of us sitting at mom and dads dining room table for an hour before we had to head to the woods having coffee and breakfast. My dad and I arguing because he made the coffee to weak and where we were going to sit, where to sit my brother and what drive to make first and in what direction. The night before was like so many other nights for our family, my wife at the time, my daughter my brother and sister-in-law and I all had dinner at mom and dads and we spent most of the night picking on each other about something or other and talking about the next days hunt. That morning I sat exactly where I’m sitting right now and was planning on doing the first push to my dad and brother. Little did I know that would be the last drive I would ever do for my dad. Dad killed a doe that morning then as many of you know suffered heart failure and died on top of his last deer just after he finished gutting it. My brother and I were on either side of him when it happened. They say that time heals everything and that’s not true, I miss the old man more today than I did the day he died. He was the greatest father, “papa” husband and man that I have ever known. I love you old man! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  43. Late to the party but I shot this doe last Saturday the 8th. First shot opportunity all season on a mature doe. Saw more small bucks this year than does which makes the upcoming years look promising. Have the last 4 days of ML off and hope to #SENDIT again! Sent from my XT1635-01 using Tapatalk

  47. Doesn't matter, where you live. As long as at least one shotgun lives there too. Doesn't matter, how much money you do, or don't have. As long as you are taking care of yourself and family. Doesn't matter, what color your skin is. As long as you wear blue jeans and camo. Doesn't matter, what others label you. As long as you know who you are. I know I'm a redneck.
