If by some chance, I ever shot a true booner, it would never be entered in any book. And outside of family and a few friends, a few from here no doubt, no one would even know. I've killed my share of mature bucks (none even close to B&C) that were perhaps among the best deer on the property that particular year. And each one has a story. A story that I'm happy to remember myself, or with my hunting partner. Other than that, if you weren't there, then the story is kind of boring. And the number of inches on his head doesn't really matter. Cause it's just another deer. Any deer I have ever killed, means more to me than anyone else. No matter how many inches of antler it had, or didn't have. Also, I truly never feel any jealousy at all, towards any hunter that kills a beautiful buck by fair chase. I'm always all ears, if he wants to tell HIS story! And I really love seeing the ones posted here each season, from the monster bucks to the spikes and doe. And reading the stories. Deer hunting to me, really is more than gross and net scores. So much more. That being said, Congratulations to the young man and his World record non typical!!! That is quite an honor to have killed the largest buck ever killed by a hunter!!! Can't wait to hear THAT story!!!4 points

did it last year bought a bag of ladino white clover on amazon went a bit heavier then what the bag said per acre... I only did about a half acre but basically i just threw it on as soon as there was bare ground i think it was late march came in great, the area i planted was brassicas the fall before and the deer had really pawed up the ground , no equipment really need just a hand spreader.... Just to note the deer did use the clover but nothing like the WI clover i have4 points

First is primos with a gear tie. It’s hands free, functional, light and relatively inexpensive. Second is way way over engineered, extremely stable and a joy to shoot from but kind heavy and expensive. Would trust it in a wind storm however. Reaper grip with slik 700dx. Both work standing and seated on stool. I like sighting in with no. 2.4 points

I have one on the way, I just sold my Ravin R20 the other day that I owned and shot the crap out of for a year and sold it for 150$ less than I paid for it. For all the naysayers, these companies wouldn’t build them if the knew they wouldn’t sell. It’s no different than cars or guns. You can buy a 12k dollar new car or 1million dollar new car. They both do they same thing right? It’s a free market, far from the “corporate greed” bullshit some are bringing up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

The paint on the walls is just about done, so I’ll be able to finish putting up tile tomorrow night. After that my gf will finish the last section of paint, then I’ll grout and paint the ceiling and the kitchen will be done.3 points

honestly, it is what Jerkman said, all kidding aside....and not trying to sound arrogant, but with the years that I have used these things, you just know how much force is needed, or not needed. I have had that arm, and hand for over 6 yrs, it is to the point I sometimes don't look at stuff I grab, or move, its so in tune with me! it does not appear as high tech as other hands, but it seriously is much higher in tech due to the software inside, a true case of whats inside that counts.3 points

I built this stab from old arrows and a kit from Hi-tek stabilizer’s. I had bought two of theses kit’s some time ago and forgot I had them . you can cut your arrows any length you want to experiment with what works best for you. You install inserts on both ends and use the screws to secure it together. I used 300 spine arrows to make it as stiff as possible, One thing I did is the center holes I found a 2216 aluminum shaft fit pretty good and found my 300 carbons slid inside the 2216 perfect, I epoxied them together and made a nice super stiff rod. The center rod you have to epoxy in as there’s no other way to attach it. Once I settled on what I liked I figured might as well epoxy it all together and used blue loctite on the screws. You can add anything on the end that you want weights, doinker, simms stab enhancers etc.2 points

The only clover to plant is whitetail institute . I tried many other brands and types they are are passed by and deer head right to whitetail institute plot even when planted side by side.. You could of planted it right with ww in fall and it would of had a better start this spring. Hand spreader put half of what it calls for on hand spreader and cover entire area with it.. then add second half and do same..planting to heavy is biggest failure when planting clover..2 points

They do actually have rifle cradles for shooters. Its like a little “U” shaped device that attaches to a special adapter for the arm. If I hunt at home, or out back as I call it, I do not wear a prosthesis at all actually, rifle, or crossbow, but do use my painted arm for compound bow. If I hunt on state, or my other spot by my job, I use my painted arm. here is a device that’s available, I referred to but never used.2 points

Back tonight from an away match. Doing better but still havent fixed the trigger or grip. 92/100 slow fire. 87/100 timed fire.86/100 rapid fire. Slow fire should be your lowest score as the rings are closer together despite you have more time. Quarter covering my name for reference. If we could use two hands instead of one or use a rest, I could've really stacked them in there. Need more time to shoot and improve. Shooting less than once a week isnt much. Wow, worst nightmare on those roads and seems to happen frequently; glad you got out of the jamb in one piece. I enjoyed chatting with everyone I got a chance to even if brief at times. EVERYONE has a unique and different perspective on things, I happen to find my passion hunting with inspiration talking to others who went before me. Hope I can light a spark in someone else to chase a goal. Look forward to another get together.2 points

My son shoots NRA Youth Competition. Also shoots various state matches. Won the Gold two years in a row in the Connecticut State Games in his class. He's damn good. I don't have many pics on this new PC I'm on, but here's a couple from one of our Friday night outings at the club. It's a ton of fun. He shoots and Anschutz 1912. I shoot a vintage 1403. No scopes, all iron sights. Distances range from 50 feet to 100 yards. Rimfire competition is a blast!2 points
