From this past Saturday day hunt. We were finishing up the 2nd set on this property getting ready to walk another 1/2 mile and try another set. Where we were setup was fairly quiet and out of the wind for the most part, so i thought lets hang out for a few more minutes. Theres a den nearby, its pretty calm in this bottom and fairly thick around.. plus a long draw/ravine that comes out in 150 yards in front of us.. Told my buddy Im going to play a pup in distress, followed by another different pup in distress, followed by a third different pup in distress if nothing comes to the first 2, then we can pack and head to the next set.. Just as the third pup in distress was just almost done, this female came racing in, barreling across the field.. she stopped once quick after she entered the field, and stopped for the last time when the call ended(perfect timing) and she hit the 100 yard mark.. with swirling winds i wasn't going to chance it.. Was a great hunt, especially since ive been cooped up with sick un healthy kids since Gun season.. Felt great to get out finally..10 points

Some bucks are still holding in 8H. I went out for the first time Saturday but backed out after seeing this guy; interestingly this buck worked a scrape, rubbed some trees and then sniffed some does - apparently no one told him it wasn’t November anymore. I’ll get after it again in a couple weeks. I don’t want to push any bucks off my properties right before they drop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

I am a Yankee fan and am tired of a lot of the deals cashman makes. I don't mind the extension but the years I don't get. I can't wait to see a 36 year old Hicks on the DL. I hope I am wrong but if you can't stay on the field at 28, how do you stay on the field at 35. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk2 points

Hang on, Hes throwing stuff out there like "extinction of elk and deer" and the sport of hunting going away. There are plenty of other CWD positive states that have had CWD for longer than PA has, and the deer and elk populations in those states are fine. While I applaud the work they are doing, and a cure would be great, theres a whole lot of scare tactics being thrown out there.1 point

Fences have certainly given me fits but the one thing I have yet to do is get a turkey to fly across water. My favorite turkey hunt was 15+ years ago when I brought my girlfriend at the time uncle turkey hunting for the first time. Had the hottest bird I have ever hunted in my life 80yds from us on the other side of a creek. After half an hr and 1000 gobbles I told him we have to swim the creek he said hell no I said ok I will. Stripped swam across crawled up the bank put my shirt on made 1 put and the bird ran to me and I killed him at 5 yds in my underwear. He was beyond pissed, that is the 2nd biggest bird I have killed.
