From this past Saturday day hunt. We were finishing up the 2nd set on this property getting ready to walk another 1/2 mile and try another set. Where we were setup was fairly quiet and out of the wind for the most part, so i thought lets hang out for a few more minutes. Theres a den nearby, its pretty calm in this bottom and fairly thick around.. plus a long draw/ravine that comes out in 150 yards in front of us.. Told my buddy Im going to play a pup in distress, followed by another different pup in distress, followed by a third different pup in distress if nothing comes to the first 2, then we can pack and head to the next set.. Just as the third pup in distress was just almost done, this female came racing in, barreling across the field.. she stopped once quick after she entered the field, and stopped for the last time when the call ended(perfect timing) and she hit the 100 yard mark.. with swirling winds i wasn't going to chance it.. Was a great hunt, especially since ive been cooped up with sick un healthy kids since Gun season.. Felt great to get out finally..

The syr TV station is apologizing for a bad forecast . Lake effect band never moved and we got over a foot. It was bad last night like I've never seen with wind and snow. Couldn't get out the front door this morn had to go around the back to get out of the house. Friggin winter!

Hard to put into words how proud I am/we are of his decision. After a false start on leaving last week and plane cancellations yesterday, he finally swore his Oath this morning and just took off for Parris Island with 5 other recruits. His mother is sure to be a wreck for the next 13 weeks, lol. Completing boot camp is no easy task, but I fully believe that he will emerge on the other side as a new man and great Marine! God Bless all of them!!! On a side note, the Captain John J. McKenna, IV Military Courtesy Room at Albany Airport is an outstanding place for military personnel and their families to relax and watch the planes take off and land. A portion of a beam from the Twin Towers stands as a somber reminder to all of what it means for our military men and women to protect and defend our great nation.

I will go with choice #2. We have proof that Storm was in the parking lot after all. I think Storm and Odysseus kidnapped him and have been giving him the "Deliverance" treatment all night long. The poor guy will never be the same again. Sterling Forest state park would be the first place I'd start looking for him. The woods roads would be a good starting point.

It was pretty nasty here as well we piled up a foot quick. At one point it was coming down 3 plus inches and hour. But my dumb ass lives 20 miles north of Syracuse so a foot is nothing. We usually get a few good 2-3-4 foot snow storms a year.

Yesterday afternoon trying to convince the dog to go out! Lol. He loves the snow but that wind was so loud it was scary. It was pushing the snow right in from the storm door.
