I have a Browning BTC 5HD that’s been on the shelf for a few years. Had about 10 days of field life. The internal power source to hold date/time/settings doesn’t hold the info after the cam is turned off requiring it to be reset if you want that info or specific settings. Essentially you just need to remember to reset the info after you power cam off and on. Outside of that the cam works phenomenally. A risk taker could open the cam up to fix it but my experience has been it is hit or miss. Probably best to just deal with it since it’s a really good performing cam. I’d still use the cam but with as many as I run I don’t want to remember to reset the date and time. This is really is a high end cam for a youth if he or she is willing to re-enter info. Would prefer it be for a youth that can use the cam on his or her own (teenager) as opposed to a parent using it alongside their real little one. My intent is to help out the immediate up and comer generation. I’ll toss in batteries and card too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk16 points

Lost my grandfather this week. He was a huge part of my life and will be greatly missed. I grew up camping and hunting birds and chipmunks in his woods. Fished in his pond for as long as i can remember. He was always smiling and had a great smart ass remark for anyone. My son grew very close to him also and it hit him pretty hard too. So we went for a long walk in our woods today to just talk and enjoy the woods. He was toting his ithaca single shot .22, and i had my ruger mkIII .22. We had games of who could hit the tiny tree. His growing up to be a great shot, im still better but he can definitely hold his own.10 points

I had a knife blank laying around and figured I'd try and make a knife from a turkey leg. It's not too practical , more for show I guess.9 points

Yesterday I stumbled on one of these used and in black in a local Shop, have a new one in camo on the way and have a full size stock and rail on he way as well. They list it at 5lbs and it weighed 4.67lbs on their postage scale so with the full stock and a Rmr I should still be under 5lbs and at 35” overall it’s it should be a dandy run and gun rig for the mountain birds I’ve been chasing the last few years. 5 pt was my nieces first buck. My 7 pt is in the middle my nieces husband took the other 7 pt on the end. Very happy with the mounts and all three were done at same time. DJ's in Bath. His son Tyler mounted them.7 points

I nailed 'em this morning. They don't always come out good for me but when they do, they're great. I love all eggs but poached are at the top...... What's your favorite way to do eggs for breakfast??7 points

Other than the frost heave issue its been a good 4 days. Boiled sap at my brother in laws yesterday. Found a shed, found a rub beneath my trail cam that didn't have a card in it!! lol next time. Picture of a bunch of deer across from the camp. I counted about 12 a week ago my neighbor said there were 40 plus! Picking up 3 deer mounts today at 1:00 I'll post picts later.6 points

For some context. That was a funny morning...we couldn't stop laughing. Nobody would believe us seeing that buck if he was killed and videod. Moog pretty much guessed right where the buck fell too. easy track job.3 points

We researched it after the ground check. Hard to find many 4 pts anywhere that big. Seen one that might be roughly same score but it was a main frame 6 without brows. We joke that he may have shot a world class 4 pt but it's likely true.3 points

My Grandmother left me a really cool old egg poacher that was basically three little cups for the eggs sitting over a shallow pan of boiling water. (think antique; my Grandmother died in 1974). The eggs were perfect every time whether I wanted them soft boiled or hard boiled. Very simple. I can't imagine the scumbags who broke into my house and robbed me 17 years ago cared about an old egg poacher, so there's a chance I still have it somewhere. After moving 10 times in 10 years, I've lost a lot of cool stuff though. Those eggs look great Larry! That's how I like them as well.2 points

Different strokes for different folks. No such thing as one size fits all. I'm looking for something shorter and lighter too. Nice pick up Buckmaster7600! Should be perfect for your style of hunting!2 points
