Buddy took me and his gf’s 14 year old son out on Lake Erie Kid 0 buddy 13 smallmouth 1 sheephead. Me 5 smallie ( biggest was 4.1 pounds ) 1 freshwater drum Love the smell of General Mills Cheerios on the water Bird island called so for reason. North and south gap , long wall. Heading out to get mine done. My backyard was a cow pasture until a few years ago. Never put anything on it or water it. The front, I've played around with a bit. But I'm no landscaper. My wife bought me this little sign years ago.

Headed out in a little bit for my 8th cut of the season and probably my first sunburn while my fanatic neighbor is on his 16th cut. My lawn is still a really nice green while his is shown signs of turning brown. I am jealous so I am going to lower the deck and cut it low. Watering is out of the question. I do not want to increase the number of times I have to circle the yard each week. While short green grass is nice... brown grass is a beautiful thing.

Got the new elite out for some shooting today , stacking arrows at 50 yards already. Had a crosswind or I would have considered moving the sight a tad. Enjoy the sideways pics.

The lake is very calm and really pretty this morning. I'll be taking a short walk along the the north end pretty soon. I'm charging a battery for the camera right now. I hate the high taxes, but at least the lady I actually hand my cash to is nice about it. She's my neighbor, and she usually apologizes for the tax rates. I buy her a beer at the American Legion now and then, and she invites me over for dinner with her husband on occasion.

One of my favorite events to attend are some of the festivities during the IBOF weekend in Canastota. Will be heading to the card, autograph and memorabilia show at the high school in a bit, you will find no pro sports participants more accommodating and friendly to the fans than prize fighters. The parade is one of the best and that will be held in Canastota also tomorrow, if in the area it is worthwhile to see. Al http://www.ibhof.com/index.html

Today we played a tournament in Staten Island at Richmond county youth Complex, great fields. We are a 14u team but entered a 15u tournament. So far we swept thefirst 2 games we played today. My boy took the first win, pitched 6 innings, gave up only one run. Ended in the 7th with a 3-2 win. Second game pitched by our other big lefty with a 1-0 win. Thankfull for the win, the righty on the other team was throwing gas, but managed a few hits to get and keep the one run game. Tomorrow morning back at it again

Interesting. Sounds much more credible and plausible than this current news flash from the DEC. Your typical Saratoga suburbanite gets all jazzed up about the "coy" dogs running amuck. They can't comprehend that actual coyotes exist. Now there are mountain lions in my backyard? I'll believe it when I see it. *grin*

Oh I love driving upstate to all the little towns in out of the way places . It's one of the best states in the country to do some scenic driving in my opinion . Florida probably the most boring to drive. it has great beaches but not much of anything else when you drive around it all looks the same . And no mountains just flat with the same palm tree it looks like , here and there .

DEC actually put out a notice on this. Kinda strange. Last year John, I talked to a couple guys who claimed to have seen one not far from where you and I hunted together. Both are respectable, and lifelong outdoorsmen. Both said they felt ridiculous even telling me about it. But were sure of what they saw. (They live about five miles apart, and don't know each other well) I've known both of them for most of my life. And believe they saw "something". Not sure if it was a Mt Lion or not though. I'd have to see one myself to believe it.

We call them Bobcats and house cats in the north east But seriously there really was a mountain lion that made it all the way to Connecticut from The Dakotas it got hit by a car in ct .
