  1. 18 years ago I built a 8x12 shed in my yard to give me a little more room for stuff and a place to hang, skin & quarter my deer. Although it has served me well all these years my knees were asking for a little more height. The big deer are tough to skin as they are usually much longer and their heads are on the floor, making for some tough skinning. I decided to just add a 3 sided addition but 24" higher than the old one. With some help from a couple friends, it's just about done. Taco Tim helped with setting the walls, building and setting the rafters, and sheeting the roof. Another buddy helped with roofing. Friday afternoon my wife helped with priming then I painted it last night. I still have to put up vented soffits, trim the corners, build/hang the door then some interior lights. What should be last is hanging the hoist but I have a feeling that'll move up to near the top of the list.

  2. Long couple days on Erie. Fished the chatauqua county con club tourney. Thursday-sunday. Prob caught a couple hundred walleye. Van Buren to buffalo. Found a good class of fish the first 2 days of tourney, but couldn't get em to the boat today. Lost 3 that would have really helped, but ended up 6th. Made some money, got a suntan, and got to see pygmy 2 days in a row !!! Not sure what was the best part.... If your not familiar with jumping off the boat while trolling, it's called the Canadian drift sock. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk

  10. Pretty sure when Steve saw that 30 pack in Howie's hands, he would have put a ring on his finger..... He knocked back 9 on the ride back to sturgeon, in 5'rs...lol You boys are welcomed on the NymphO ANYTIME! But so the whole forum knows, if you ever need a +2, Pygmy and Howie are where it's at, they are a great time for some old farts. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk

  17. Wow, usually I’d only see ignorant statements like this in FB! Actually for a dumb guy like me it’s just the cost of doing business not that I need to explain myself and how we spend our money. I’m not a paying sponsor so out of respect for the site I didn’t wanna mention that I’m an outfitter and believe it or not, most outfitters have to pay for their land

  22. After the rifle range session we stopped at the local park to fish their pond and had a blast. Fished for just over 2 hours and between the three of us we caught at least 15 fish. Most being sunnies and bluegills. Caroline my youngest at 6 got the fish of the day a nice little bass. I’m also proud to say she mad the cast and set the hook all by herself. I did have to help bring it in only because of the large amount of weeds in front of us. Her little Barbie pole just didn’t have the power to bring it through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  25. I once paddled 50 miles up the Cialis River to the base of Viagra Falls in deepest, darkest Africa... Actually the paddling was done in dugout canoes by 20 native packers...I was hired to ride shotgun and protect the party from angry hippos, crocodiles, and other savage beasts.. The journey ended in failure...One of the packers had a psychotic pet gorilla named BOBO, who bore an amazing resemblance to Mike Tyson... One night Bobo got into the fermented banana juice and went wild and bit off the ears of all of the native packers.... Actually, it didn't seem to bother them all that much, except for one poor nearsighted fellow who could no longer wear his glasses....Bobo didn't get me because I was packing my trusty Westley Richards loaded with DumDum bullets...

  28. If you go to a movie it 12 bucks for 2 hours of entertainment, you sit in a stand for 10 hours a day. So 60 dollars a day if you were at movies you hunt how many days a year? 30? Your getting 1800 dollars worth of entertainment for less than 1300 if your sharing that property with 3 others for 5k.. it's a pretty good deal ,price sou ds ridiculous at 1st but , taxes, time ,equipment costs to maintain property by owner are not included.. you will most.likely have a better experiance on private land than public especially if its managed.. I spend between 3 and 5 k a year just managing my own property that I and family and friends enjoy. It's a huge expense for me and honestly I could lease most of it off and enjoy it myself and make $$ but that's not what I enjoy... many take the giving of landowners for granted.. it's a lot of work to maintain acreage to where its accessible and provides what one expects out if it.

  29. Yeah, but it was a SHEEPSHEAD....Hehehehe... On a serious note, Howie and I want to extend a big THANK YOU for showing us a great time, and for the fish....You guys really have your s**t together, and you are great guys to fish with...Tell Steve Howie wants to marry him... WE had a slow last morning yesterday...Tried down below first and struck out, so we came back and fished right out front and managed to scrape up four....No biggie..I still have more walleye filets in my freezer than I have ever had before.. I gotta rest up today..Four days in a boat on Erie is tough on us old fat guys... P.S.....CONGRATS to you guys on finishing in the money !!

  32. Westchester or anywhere in NY could be cheaper and better chance at a big buck. Say 4 guys go to Kansas to hunt. $5K each for the hunt and $500 round trip for flight and $500 tip. That’s $6K x 4 guys, so $24K and odds are not all 4 get a buck in a 5-day Hunt . For less than $24K those 4 guys can probably lease a a great piece of land in NY and have better odds over the course of entire season. If you have enough guys, a lease makes perfect sense Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  37. Looks really good great job. If you add a small air conditioner you'll be able to leave the deer hang on those warmer days without worrying.

  38. I believe it. See Bruno’s above response re Long Island. I know someone who pays $5K per year to lease 50 acres in Putnam. Many years they don’t even get a buck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  40. Reclaiming old Christmas tree fields to plant hasn’t been super easy but I’m happy for my first year with the property. Lots of other projects on the farm to do but these plots are doing ok. FWIW, this was all done with a 1025r HYDRO, single row JD planter. Fall plots are going in this week. The Brown truck just delivered my frigid forage order.

  47. Yessir, 5 cars on that table. Did a full month soak, tried @G-Man setup with 2 cameras on a tree, on different angles to see if anything sneaks by. I will tell you this, I saw more yotes than usual on camera. Feel like the double camera tree method photo’d more than single cam

  48. I've had one recently brought to my attention from GB. I've dealt with Savagehunter in the past, he's a great guy!! I still owe him a cup of coffee.....hmmmm. I may have to meet up with him to lay eyes on this baby? Could easily add a 308 die to the reloading bench. Along with another jar of powder and a box of Nosler BT's.
