Checked cameras a couple days ago that were left over a gut pile at my cabin. First time I've ever had eagles on a camera. Hope you all enjoy but I would love to see what anyone else has as far as eagles on trail cameras.7 points

Well got my left hand done today. Great doctor and staff felt comfortable through the whole preceder. I’ve been home for three hours now and my thumb hasn’t gotten numb. Going to give it a few weeks and get the right hand done. Hopefully I’ll be good to go for turkey season. Total time in surgery was 22 minutes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk6 points

Hello, New guy here, not only to the board but to hunting in general. I’ve been shooting since I was a youth, but never went beyond putting holes in paper at the range until late last year.im generally a year round outdoorsy type that enjoys hiking, fishing, kayaking and now hunting. I’m located in Clifton Park and hoping to utilize the resources of the forum to gain knowledge and network! Anyways, glad to be here and hoping to make some new friends.4 points

Swapped a card on a cam that I have watching a fox den. These two were getting it on for over 45 minutes. I could only wish for that kind of stamina!4 points

Congrats, it's a thrill to get eagles. I had a golden on my bone yard last fall. I posted a photo in one of those non-lead ammo arguments that are common on this site. (You know, the ones where I'm regularly accused of being part of an anti-gun conspiracy.) The first photo has 3 eagles - 2 adults and a juvenile that looks like a hatch year bird. This type of feeding is why we keep pushing non-lead ammo. Redtails and eagles love gut piles and dead deer. They are incredibly sensitive to lead. A Catskill wildlife rehabilitator has treated 7 eagles since deer season for lead poisoning. Those are what survived long enough to be found. You can find tons of information on this topic at the link in my signature line. We also produced a 13 minute video a few years back. It can be found at doas.us. BTW - lead is also bad for people.3 points

I heard one sign is triple posting ..... BTW , signs you can see ,like coughing , symptoms you can’t like a fever . The classic explanation is, nausea is a symptom, vomit is a sign .3 points

Stores in some parts of the country are out of TP and bottled water , whiskey is still in stock , although the Mrs suggested we stock up on beer in case of quarantines, and I’m not kidding .2 points

Thought I would post an update. We've been using Spectrum Mobile now for 2 months. We haven't had a single issue! No noticeable difference than the service we had with Verizon. Our monthly cell bill went from ~$200 down to $73!! We upgraded to 3 new iphones, so that bumped our total monthly bill to $148. Even adding 3 new iphones, it's still cheaper than having Verizon with old phones.2 points

From last season: The redtail is on the gut pile of the last deer I shot. The golden is on the bones of the first.2 points

New York State is recalling SUNY and CUNY students from study abroad programs in China, Italy, Iran and other places where the virus is widespread. They will return on a chartered plane destined for Stewart International Airport near Newburgh, N.Y., 67 miles north of Manhattan, and then be quarantined for 14 days. At the risk of being unpopular, I agree. I switched to copper a few years back after I watched a documentary on what lead bullets are doing to eagle populations in the Mississippi River valley. At least for deer season.2 points

I strongly believe the death rate of coronavirus is way lower, because I think thousands of people have it with no symptoms so they aren’t counted towards the totals. Nyc/Westchester must have tons of cases that aren’t counted since healthy people aren’t showing symptoms Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Sorry for your loss, it is so hard. We had a lab that got Lepto at 6 years old.. the speculation was the same, in that she drank out of a puddle that was contaminated with urine from a raccoon or opossum. She made it thru that, but was never quite the same, as she had liver issues the rest of her life. You never know, so have to appreciate every day we get with them!!2 points

New York state is working on their own test kit in a lab in Albany. This should help testing, once ready. I agree with Biz, although I don't think more people in the US/westchester have this, yet. I think many in china had and were not counted among the total numbers. I have been using number of health care workers in China who were infected and subsequently passed away to get an idea of death rate. I feel these numbers are closer to accurate. One account is 6 of 1716 passed away. This is .35 % death rate with rounding.. Not 3.5%... POINT 35 percent... less than half a percent. Ive also seen 18 of 3000 (roughly) which is about .6 percent. Even if more were infected and more died than reported, that rate is still fairly low. These numbers seem much better than the 2-3% death rate that is somewhat accepted. Can it be with medical attention the death rate is much lower? Maybe...Is it that the other numbers like 80K infected are wayyyyyy off? Maybe.. I hope and think so.1 point

Something very special about the bond we have with our pets especially dogs. So many are in shelters, the next time you think about a new pet try saving a lost soul in the shelters, they really need it! I know it's hard when we loose a close pet but never let that stop you from having another pet! You are both worth the effort!1 point

It was great meeting you last night as well Leland. Although I am still baffled how a cowboy boot wearing, gun auction attendee can be a democrat, but I won't hold it against you....lol Next time I will be better prepared. I bid on a few things, but it goes fast so you don't have time to think about how much you are willing to spend. You need to go with the list, know what your interested in and how much you want to spend on that item and get in the bidding and stop when you reach what you want to spend. At least that will be my plan next time. I thought sure I won a Walter PPK .40 but got out bid at the last 2nd. I left with a cheap pellet gun for my daughter and a new friend...so it was a great night!1 point
