Got out for a short hike today and found my first ever porcupine here on the edge of a stand of big hemlocks. I've seen the sign around for a few years now but never laid eyes on one in the wild. He seems to be missing an ass full of quills to me, but I'm no expert on these things. Very lethargic critter that tried to keep his butt towards me every time I tried to get in front of him for a pic which I'm guessing is his best defense. Tough dudes to photograph that's for sure, and if he wasn't sitting off the trail not 5ft away from me I probably would have walked right by him without noticing. I didn't have much time to spend with him, so eventually we both made off in separate directions unharmed.

It was a great night. Nice to meet some new guys and see a couple familiar faces.

I am a pretty private person, some may be thinking yeah right, but it is true. However, this is something I must share, partly due to not having @sodfather @The_Real_TCIII phone numbers....i have thanked @turkeyfeathers many times for this very thoughtful gift that all 3 have contributed my way months ago! So I just wanted to reach out to you 3 with a BIG thank you for this thoughtful gift that you sent me from almost 400 miles away! You 3 must truly know me, and know my “style”. I love rustic cabin decor, and this old school bucket you sent me, is ME. So i tip my hat to you 3, and hope you realize how much I truly appreciate the thought, as you found this bucket in the woods. I plan to JB Weld patch the 2 small holes, and fill it with pellets for the stove. I really do love it, thanks again you guys. In my opinion it fits in PERFECTLY in my home, that I have worked so hard for.

My FIL is in a local assisted living facility and somewhat needy. My wife was visiting him 2-3 days a week, it's going to be difficult no doubt.

Had some older lady come up to the house and ask to buy some eggs. Said stores are out, and she likes fresh better. Don't know how this person knew I have chickens. Can barely see my house from the road, and definitely can't see my coop. Never sold any, so not sure how she knew. Gave her a dozen.

Can't buy toilet paper, so you've gotta spend your money on something I guess.

Got the call today that the kids school closed until april 14th. They jumped around saying yay no school. Well that was until i sat them down and told them its not a vacation. Since they have lesson plans setup. I told them their mother will wake them when she leaves for work, they are to start on class work no later then 9. They have to do some sort of exercise for 45 mins during the day to make up for no gym classes or recess times. When they get done which should be by 1 they will have an hr worth of chores. Best part is i work 3rd so im home sleeping during the day so ill know if stuffs getting done since im a light sleeper. Well lets just say oldest slammed her door and my youngest daughter who is my out spoken one just looked at me and says "you sure can put a bad spin on having a month off cant you dad." This was all followed by me and my wife laughing because they thought it was time to sit on their asses for a month.

Sounds like a good excuse for a GTG !! When the TP runs out, we all go down to Chef's place and give his BIDET a workout !! I'd have to get some lessons on Bidet SOP..I mean, what do you do, spread your cheeks and ROTATE ??….

First confirmed in Erie county.....was hoping it would have just stayed towards the other end of the state....lol I get that we aren't super worried about ourselves.....but our parents are right in the wheel house for getting hit hard if they contract it. Personally I want mine around a bunch more years.....I am guessing you feel the same way about Papa Biz.
