  4. I've been dreaming about an enclosed blind over looking a food plot for yrs, one furnished with nice windows, tongue and groove interior walls, wall heater, loft to sleep in, lazyboy recliners and so on. Well with all this slow down it's time to get this started!! I want this for so many reasons but mostly for my dad. He done so much for my brother and I and he loves his land and everything that comes with it. He's also over 70 and now only gun hunts and sometimes can't sit as long as he like to. This would give him all day comfortable sits if he chooses to. Although it may be a small cabin when done. Luckily my brothers an architectural engineer and after sending a pic of what I'm thinking and brief chat he whipped up some plans. 8x12 footprint, 8x8 hut with a 4ft deck. Yesterday I started looking for some window options on Craigslist and found these beautiful windows 73x65 for the wall facing the plot, it was a hell of a good price!! First purchase down!! I'll post pics of the process along the way.

  25. Cousin wanted an AR so we put together a list of parts and he came over at lunch. Took a couple hours but it all came together. He chose a pinned mag at this point. Stag 18" heavy fluted varmint barrel in 223 with 2A handguard, side charging BCA upper, Anderson lower, larue 2 stage trigger and magpul moe stock. I was impressed with this $80 trigger.

  27. The answer is lock down medical facilities. Enforce strict measures to make sure disease does not leave. As squirrel whisperer said medical people took an oath. Respect that oath...and those whom took it. Much like a soldier in war. What does everyone think about a soldier who took an oath then says screw everyone else and runs and hides. Has this thread ever gone ugly.

  29. I don't wish any death or pain towards anyone. My biggest issues are 1 you're brining a virus that spreads quickly to an area that really doesn't have it spreading so why risk the rest of the state. 2nd most of upstate does not have the resources to help out there's some that I know of that are just running. 3Rd I have a problem if someone from out of the area infects say my mom who's a nurse in an eye doctors and was told today if they start shipping people up she's not going to have a choice and have to help those patients. (She will do it because she took an oath to). But if she gets it and takes it back to my dad he will die if he gets it. Now will people get sent this far I don't know. I do not want to see anyone die but if the roles were reversed there's no way he would send patients down state. I don't care if people want to go to there second homes i would be fine with it as long as they quarantine for 14 days to make sure they weren't sick(people that are in the "hot zones"). I think there's better options like opening dorms and shipping nurses down and giving them a place to stay while working.

  30. Call me cold hearted but F them. They want to live down there in the shit let them die down there in the shit. It’s not my fault or problem that there isnt enough beds for them. After the nurses up here get sick from them then get their family’s sick then there won’t be enough space for them. So let’s stretch this out for another few months instead of keeping it contained. Maybe in a few months when it’s still running rampant and the country needs another bailout That twat Pelocy and Dbag upChuck will get there Plane emissions passed. It’s really not rocket science. 38. Governor Andrew Cuomo is only doing a fine job begging and questioning for help from the Federal government. Maybe if Cuomo had planned for disasters like this pandemic he would be doing a fine job. Instead Cuomo has focused his powers as governor on sanctuary for illegal aliens, driver licenses for illegal aliens, wasteful social programs, fat government, keeping taxes (income and property) high, nonsense gun control laws like the SAFE Acts and other failures. Cuomo has not really improved the lives of New York residents. Cuomo has certainly not prepared to protect the people he serves by his inactions for years as governor preparing for a catastrophic event like the Corona Virus pandemic. What is nauseating about Cuomo is how he announces how invaluable life is and we could see 26,000 New Yorkers die from the Corona Virus. Since when did Cuomo who is a supporter of abortion (AKA “Baby Killing”), restricting New Yorkers right to carry conceal handguns for self-defense and is soft on dangerous violent criminals like William Spengler who was released from prison under the Cuomo administration to murder again cared about the lives of New Yorkers? Cuomo said “Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.” Cuomo is no humanitarian.

  44. I don’t think I’ve physically blown him yet but I have said he’s doing a good job right now. I listened to his afternoons press conference and heard his response when a reporter asked him if he would move downstate patients upstate to where there is more room. Going from memory he never said he wasn’t going to do that but he did say as of right now people as in patients and healthcare workers would be moved around in downstate facilities. As a facility down state fills up another facility downstate that has space will take on new people or transfers. I was surprised no reporter brought up moving prisoners around because that didn’t stop until this week and now at least 2 prisons have COVID-19 cases at them and it’s being traced from the downstate prisons. God I just defended Cuomo. I feel so dirty imma go shower Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  45. Funny thing. I never got my crap together last year and got a tripod or new ladder stand like I intended. Family circumstances kept me out of town on Sat. opening day last year. First time in 16 years I wasn't there. The first morning I hunted, Sunday, found me on the ground on a stool leaning up against the next tree on the row, in the wide open. Was there 20m and shot the biggest buck I'd ever seen on that farm at 20 yards! I dunno. Can't explain it. Sometimes it just happens. Maybe next year I won t even bother to take a gun. Maybe I ll just walk out there opening day and they'll just be a couple boxes of frozen venison waiting for me lol. Always fortunate. Some years are easier than others.

  46. My apologies to some of the older members of this forum who have already heard this story... I was hunting caribou in NWT in 1994, and had killed a bull...My guide was a full blooded Inuit named George Konana.. George was butchering my bull, and I was standing alongside with my hands in my pockets feeling weird, because I was accustomed to being the one doing the butchering.. This was my first guided hunt.. George cut out the liver and set it aside...I asked him if caribou liver was good to eat... He cut a slice of the raw liver, and then cut open the stomach.. He dipped the liver slice into the stomach and got a big green gob of the contents and then ate the whole mess, and licked his fingers George looked at me and said " There's too much for me to eat, YOU want some ? " I replied " **** you, George ."....
