  1. These are the BEST wings that I have made to date! This is what I expect from a restaurant. Crispy exterior, with a juicy tender interior. This is the ONLY way I will make wings, from here on out. Frank’s Red hot for me, and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce/Mild Buffalo mix for her.

  10. Some good news my mother who had the virus was moved out of the hospital today to rehab. 35 days at 87 years old not seeing one family member and she almost died one night. This virus is horrible. Friends just keep at what your doing so you don't infect anyone especially the elderly. Thank you all for your prayers!! You guys are the best!!!! Just an FYI she got great care at assisted living and Stony Brook Hospital. She never had to go on a ventilator. She took Z-Pak and the Malaria drug. The Malaria drug was stopped because it was causing heart issues. Also the doctors were not confident that it works. We got her an Ipad so we could facetime. It was heartbreaking at times.

  18. You are obviously not paying attention. The only way anyone could not see it is only paying attention to broadcasts that never report on it. The one's that do are probably dismissed as "right wing" programs that only tell lies. If Democrats ever control the Presidency and both houses of Congress, you will see it as the first thing they do. Why? Because they abhor individual rights as well as the means to defend them.

  19. Saving money on gas since I mostly keep the truck parked and drive my wife's small SUV. Saving money from not bowling anymore, we had 4 weeks left when this all hit. So far I haven't spent any money on golf, waiting to pay for my Monday night league until we know when we can start. At the May 15th mark that will be 4 weeks missed. I haven't paid for my season golf pass for the same reason but if the courses open May 15th honestly not much golf will have been missed. The biggest gain is family time. We are taking full advantage of the situation and doing some quality family time. Dinner and a movie night's, board games, card games, I'm teaching my 9 year old how to cook and do some house maintenance. Heck even my daughters are having sister bonding time unforced by us!

  23. Trump did more for our country in his first 8 months than Obama did in all his 8 years. Trump a puppet. Completely laughable. No one could buy him. Remember, he was a Billionaire long before he was President. And who would leave their Billionaire lifestyle to not only not take his paycheck but donate 100% of it to bury service members that paid the ultimate price for our country, and to willfully deal with all the hell that the left and the media throw at him? A man that LOVES this country and is tired of seeing the “politicians” drive it into the ground, that’s who. He could be the poster boy for “If you see something, DO something”. He saw that we had a domestic terrorist as president and decided to make a CHANGE that we actually needed. Now that our lame duck is gone, we need to get rid of Pelosi and Schumer. THAT would make America great again. Just imagine what he could accomplish if he had cooperation! Trump 2020 Pence 2024

  24. Just a break from all of the pandemic stuff we are all experiencing... I was 16 years old in the summer of '66, and was listening to The Beatles, The Lovin' Spoonfull, and many other classic groups on my transistor radio... My sole income was working on various local farms during the summer for some spending cash... Along with this, there was the opportunity for woodchuck hunting in my spare time, between milking cows, haying, etc..... There were LOTS of woodchucks around then..They were in every hayfield and pasture...This was BEFORE coyotes in this area.. I owned two rifles at the time, both of which my Dad had bought me...One was a Win M69A .22 rimfire with a Weaver C4 scope, and the other was a Rem M722 in .222 Rem. with open sights... I hunted mostly early mornings and late evenings, before and after working.. My score for the summer was 76 woodchucks....I only shot about 10 of them with the .222, because the cartridges cost $3.15 per 20 rounds at the local hardware..I could buy .22 LR hollow points for 85 cents for a box of 50.... I got pretty good with that .22... Sighted in dead on at 25 yards, I was 1.5 inches high at 50, dead on at 75, and 3" low at 100....I paced off every shot, so I could judge range pretty well...Within 100 yards, if I had a good rest, a chuck was in peril, and I killed a few out to 120 yards or so...Of course, this required a considerable amount of belly crawling at times to get within range, but at my age, it was no big deal... I wonder what 16 year old kids are doing with their summers these days...….

  29. There was a movement back in the 80s to breed and raise Ratites [Ostrich, Emu, Rhea} for food, feathers and oil. There was some modest success in the beginning but that has since pretty much faded as it never really caught on. There is still some activity for the oil for cosmetics but not a lot. I purchased mine just for fun. Al

  33. You are a funny guy lol. Second coming of Stalin. That’s rich! Srsly, how can your party put up with their antics? Do they agree or just not care? You never answered the question. We have debated before and I never insulted you nor would I. I would only disagree with you. As someone that does not know how such nonsense is tolerated, I was hoping you could shed some light. For me, my disdain for their policies would be enough to switch sides. I want to know how you feel about these two. Do you agree with them? Do you appose them? If you appose, how can you continue to vote Dem? Biden of all people?? You are a gun owner, correct? A hunter, correct? Yet, you would endorse someone that openly wants to stop your lifestyle, remove your freedoms and abolish the second amendment? What’s worse is that you want to put that person in the highest office in the land. I’m very confused.

  36. Yes, great thread Dan........I don't have many pics from woodchuck hunts but did find this one, maybe 10 years ago?? Hunting woodchucks in the summer is a great part of life. I had some great years back in the late 80's but the fields and times have changed. (NOT prone)

  37. Man, it was a lot simpler time when I was a kid. My buddies and I literally shot thousands of .22 rounds at targets, bottles, cans, balloons, whatever. These were all with open sights as I had never even looked through a scope. I remember buying boxes of shells for .50 at the gas station, and hell, we were only 11 or 12 years old. I probably shot my first 50-100 woodchucks with open sights. Most of them with the Glenfield I still have. Some of them were with my dad and some were with my buddies. As my dad started going more, and taking me in the truck to new fields, he apparently got the bug to shoot more because he brought out a soft case to show me. It contained a Mossberg Chuckster in .22 mag with the first scope I ever looked through. It opened a whole new world of shooting for me. That gun is my only possession that I consider irreplaceable. I shot a ton of woodchucks in farmers fields with that rifle in my teen years. My favorite memory with that gun is my father shooting at a woodchuck with a .222 and missing it. It ran to his hole and stood up, and before my father could tell me it was too far, I shot it before he could shoot again. He counted 147 paces. I don't know the exact yardage, but I do know my father couldn't believe it, and talked about that shot the rest of his life. Good subject Pygmy. It's nice to go back and think about my beginnings of a hunter and think about my dad a little.

  41. You are a talking my language Dan, I lived dream and slept Woodchucks for many years starting much in the same fashion as yourself. Started out with a Savage single shot 22 that my Dad got me and shot my first chuck with it and remember the whole stalk as if it was yesterday. My Dad had a 222 Sako I killed quite a few with and he also purchased a Winchester 61 pump in the new at the time 22 mag chambering and I killed a bunch with that until I could afford my own Mossberg "Chuckster" bolt action 22 mag scoped with a Weaver V22. Finally earned enough money to hit the big time purchasing a used Remington 700 ADL in 22-250. It was off to the races from then on, I believe I purchased and loaded for just about every Varmint caliber available in those time. I also blasted away at them with all of my big game rifles and handguns for practice in the field. The main cartridges I used in addition to the 22 LR and Maggie 22 Hornet 222 Rem 223 Rem 222 Rem mag 22-250 Rem 220 Swift 243 Win 6 mm Rem 25-06 17 HMR And I would like to nail at least one with my Savage 99A in 250-3000 I would still be at it today if the Chucks were in decent numbers as I still have all those Varmint rifles, I still get them out a shoot them and they still drive tacks. Good memories. Al

  42. Good Stuff! As a young kid, my dad would take me to some farms upstate and we would shoot woodchucks long range 300-400 yards with a Weatherby .224 Mag. It was great practice learning to shoot. When I got to be about 12 years old I would drive his Nissan Pathfinder around the farm to learn how to drive. We even stopped at McDonald's on. the way home.

  45. I look at him as the Dr you go to see that is overweight and smoking out back when you get there. Then you go in for your appt and he tells you your fat and you leave thinking what an A hole but ... he is right. I like a lot of his actions I hate a lot of his words. Feel like im getting fed but have to eat a lot of crap to get full. He is at times hard to watch esp when he says 20 times - "we are doing it the best , better than anyone, everyone is telling me what a great job we are doing, like nothing theyve ever seen." WTH are you talking about - NO ONE has said those words to you- lol. But i love so many of the actions he has taken that I eat the limburger and stomach the smell. I think hes a jerk but we needed him to beat Hillary. I can make a big list of moves he has done that i like - I can only name one for Obama (killing BIn Laden) . Trump - getting out of the Paris accords, going after other countries to pay their share of defense budget in GDP, border security, tax cuts, deregulation, boosting the military etc. He has done more in less time than any president ever. If he would just stick his tweeter somewhere life would be easier for him and everyone else. I think there are some good candidates to come for the republican party. Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Rand Paul, Mike Lee are all interesting to me for the years to come. One thing that has been driving me nuts is him and Pence standing shoulder to shoulder thru this. And I KNOW advisors have told him they should be seperated during a pandemic in case they get sick and i am positive Trump didnt listen. That being said - remember if they get sick - who is next in line ? - ugh!Yeah Nancy. And they have been exposed by the same people a couple of times and had to be tested. Lets use a little sense. Hell the fear of any chance of Pelosi being in power we should consider having Pence on the moon.
