  3. Started on the second pull. Unfortunately I had to pull. It has electric start and the starter is not engaging flywheel. It just spins without popping up to engage. Not a big deal as it pulls real easy but the electric start is pretty nice... Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

  4. Life has been crazy lately. But I did get up to the Great Sacandaga yesterday for some fishing with my BIL on his new boat. We boated well over 40 smallmouth! Nothing huge but a bunch of fun catching and releasing. Was a great day just to be out there!!! I took pictures of him with my phone. And he of me with his phone. He hasn't sent me mine yet. So here is a couple of his. Beautiful place to fish. At about 62mph going to next spot.

  5. My annual "Trump Tax Cut firearm" A Henry brass frame single shot in 357 mag to burn some of this 38 special stuff. I am a fan of single shots and I had been giving the Henry a serious look since they were announced a couple of years ago, with all this ammo to shoot the 357 chambering sealed the deal. The covid crap made the purchase go slower than I liked. Seems to be a quality rifle and I can't wait to shoot it, waiting for the little 2.5 X lightweight Leupold scope to come in early this week. 6. Talking about being unnerving, a few years back I was getting some fieldstone from a fallen down rock wall on the property for whatever garden project I was doing at the time. Hot summer day, and I'm picking up flat rocks in rattlesnake country. I don't see them much, only two in many, many years, but we do have them. So I'm very conscious of listening and looking as I pick rocks in the summer. As I'm stepping back to put a stack in the tractor bucket, I hear a rattle by my feet. Red alert - adrenaline on overload! I try to jump out of the way, trip over the corner of the bucket, drop the stack of rocks right on the old family jewels, cut my thigh up pretty good, skinned my shin, bruised my elbow, and tore my jeans. The snake? It was just me brushing up against the dried leaves of a sapling I broke over on a rock picking trip the previous weekend. I LOL'd at myself for real for a few minutes. And then went back to the house for band aids and a beer. No witnesses!

  12. I have a big backyard. There are stakes marking 25 yds, 50 yds, 100 yds and 200 yds. I have a movable target stand. The cardboard is removable, ni fasteners are used to secure it.

  13. He's talking about cities like Chicago and he's telling the truth. Want to fix the problem or are you just interested in virtue signalling and endearing yourself to minority communities? I have a right to quote anything anyone else says about anything, especially when it points out the fallacy of social justice warriors agenda. If blacks use any word freely, saying whites can't is blatant racism. How anyone doesn't see that is beyond comprehension. I'm really getting sick of this BS racism agenda. It's not a one way street and the victim mentality ain't cutting it anymore. Everyone throwing stones instead of working to identify and solve the problem IS the problem.

  14. Hehehe..An old gentleman ( even older than me) who was my neighbor kept live traps around his house for chipmunks ... I once met him on his 4 wheeler with a chipmunk in his trap..He smiled and told me he was taking MR. CHIPPY over to his pond for swimming lessons......

  16. I usually get my stands hung in july, so getting them out of the barn and safety testing them.. this is by no means a scientific test , but I strap them 6inches off ground and have my fat self jump on them. Replace bad cables ,worn straps, hit the steel ones with sandpaper and some paint if need be,repair seats, ect. A little maintenance goes a long way, I have many old stands from api and loggy bayou that are from the early 90s. Still in great shape. ( aluminum) of course straps and cables have been replaced as needed. Having 36 plus stands is an accumulation over the years and it is a chore taking them down and putting back up. But it's an important step many unfortunately do not do.. take the time to do a little test yourself and repair , the life you save could be your own or a friend or family members.

  22. there is logging behind my land on the state /county property, and I had to pull all my stands back there. I can barely recognize the land now, but I think actually it will be a good thing. I threw down 20 lbs of throw and grow on the logging paths. I think they are finishing up. Over the next few weeks I will get busy getting my stands back up (officially not supposed to be there, but they are inexpensive usually well hidden stands, and over 12 years no one has ever bothered them.

  28. I have been taking them approx. 350 yard from the house and turning them loose in a hedgerow with nothing around but woods and field.. I didn't really want to make a special trip to get paint. Ever try to paint one?? They don't stay still for very long and I believe they could actually dodge the spray. This morning I check the trap and sure enough # 32 is there. As I crossed the yard I see another one scamper across the grass. WTF . I think the turning loose process is about to come to and end and we will see if they can indeed swim.

  29. Just to add to what I said earlier, my fishing buddy I was speaking about grew up in the ghetto, in Georgia. He hated the way he grew up and what he saw. He worked hard to make a change and he is now a restaurateur. (I told you that boy can BBQ)

  30. I have some black friends. One of my fishing buddies is black. We have been friends for almost 20 yrs. When he first found out I am Sicilian, he laughed and told me I was the Ni**a of the Italian race. Anyway, he has told me more than once that black ppl are more racist than white ppl could ever be. He has gone as far as to ask me not to come over once or twice because certain family members of his were gonna be there and they would lose it if they saw me, the white man, there. (That boy can BBQ!) He has confided in me that his ppl cause more problems for themselves than society could ever. He also said, some of his ppl play the race card only because they are racist and want the white man to suffer. All this from a black man’s lips. And he loves venison.

  33. Yeah, both thumbs are a bit chewed up today. My boat will do 60 max, with just myself, and a light load. But I rarely run WFO. It's faster than his old boat. So I think he bought this new one, so he can have the bragging rights now!...hehehe It takes a real fast fish to catch up with a trolling rig at that speed. I once went over 100mph in a race boat. Once was enough for me though.

  39. Let's just talk probabilities. According to the FBI consolidated statistics even though blacks make up less than 15% of the population they commit 50% of the violent crime. (some classifications higher and some lower but is averages to about 50%). These are not opinions. If any section of a population was participating in activities that put them at a higher risk of negative interactions with police I would expect their death by police number to reflect it. If the police had the "systemic" issues that are claimed I would expect that based on the percentages of committed crimes, the death rate of blacks by police would be higher than the percentages for white, Hispanic or other. The death rate doesn't reflect that. If 50% of violent crime is conducted equally by blacks and whites and the black death rate is lower than the white death rate, the wide spread systemic racism has an issue. the per capita of the general population really doesn't play into it other than the reflect that a higher percentage of blacks are omitting violent crimes. That, again, is not opinion.
