Boated probably 14 eyes today lost 2, 1 was definitely a weighable fish. 2 sheephead, 2 white bass. Good to be back on fish, had our first double, almost a triple. Back out it tomorrow.

Got out on Hemlock for a bit this morning. Took the ladies out for a ride and managed enough panfish for a fish fry tomorrow. Ended up with 2 dozen keeper bluegills, 3 rock bass, and one big old perch. What a beautiful day!

I'm growing a salt & pepper beard ( 90 % salt, 10 % pepper) so that I can join my local GLM ( Geezer Lives Matter) protest....

Me and kiddo went swimming in the lake today. She caught a rare sight of a fat guy in a donut floaty with 2 cans of labbats and half a kayak oar to get back to shore. Going fishing later when my brother and nephew come up. Post some pictures that won't scare the children.

For those of you that are already tracking or are interested in it now is the time to be honing your shooting skills. I shoot one of me deer rifles at least weekly. I’m lucky to be able to shoot in my back yard. I know many don’t have that ability but you can still be practicing properly at a public range. The drills I did this week was 3 shots at a 10” steel plate at 50yds from a carry position. My carry position is my hand right hand wrapped around the receiver. As a left eye dominant right handed person that shoots left handed this is what I’ve found to be most comfortable and fast. A have a very basic free shot timer app on my phone. I averaged just under 4 seconds from beep to 3rd hit at 50yds. You don’t need steel targets a paper target will work the same, the only difference if I miss a shot I shoot until my 3rd hit. I shot 2 boxes of ammo. The first box was single shots. From carry position to shot. The second box was the 3 shot drill. It’s a great drill for this style of hunting, I highly recommend it. I bought a beard trimmer with attachments . I use the 3/8 trimmer on the beard and then on the sides of my head . I haven't been to the barber shop in over 14 weeks . At this point , what difference does it make !

It's been a while but i got back down to Birdsall yesterday and worked on the water system. It was real long day but we managed to get the bathtub, sink in the bathroom and the toilet all connected to the rain barrel system. We used a plug in 110 volt inline water pump (4.5 gpm) and a 20 gal electric hot water tank. Worked out really good even though the existing fixtures haven't seen water through them in 15 years. Only a few leaks in the supply lines. I'll fix them next trip. Still need to complete the lies to the kitchen sink but I ran out of time and pex pipe. And I need to add a 20 amp breaker and run a dedicated line to the HW tank. It's going to be awesome to have hot water and be able to take a shower at camp. Now we will have to keep an eye on the water reserve as I noticed there wasn't a lot in the tank even though I believe we had significant rain. It's possible that the heavy rain storms are going right over the gutter? I never took any pics as we literally worked to after dark. I'll try to get some pics next trip.

I have some black friends. One of my fishing buddies is black. We have been friends for almost 20 yrs. When he first found out I am Sicilian, he laughed and told me I was the Ni**a of the Italian race. Anyway, he has told me more than once that black ppl are more racist than white ppl could ever be. He has gone as far as to ask me not to come over once or twice because certain family members of his were gonna be there and they would lose it if they saw me, the white man, there. (That boy can BBQ!) He has confided in me that his ppl cause more problems for themselves than society could ever. He also said, some of his ppl play the race card only because they are racist and want the white man to suffer. All this from a black man’s lips. And he loves venison.

There is the problem in a nutshell. If they can't respect themselves, they are doomed.

My sons 11u team is back practicing but more tournaments are canceling and as of now only have 2 still on. One I Elmira and Ripken. We might travel to an event in Kentucky for baseball youth the end of July to play some damn ball. Our little league is still shooting for July return which is great because most around here have canceled.
