Missouri has a castle doctrine that the attorney general stated covers private property. Not all states have the same castle doctrine as Ohio states it only protects my rights to defend myself and family in my home and in some case automobile. But for the members that seem to be pro rioters what are you going to do when 200 people come on your property wear mask making threat and refuse to leave and there no cops to stop them. To me you are comparing apples and oranges. Do two kids on bicycles pose a threat to you and your family? Is there a difference between two kids on bikes and a mob of 100+ protesters that have already proven themselves to be deadly in other area's of the city?

I got a couple small plots of purple tops in yesterday. I went light on the seed and heavy on the fertilizer. The new Chapin bag spreader worked pretty good for the fertilizer. The 80 day sweetcorn in the back of the photo is tassled good and probably 2 weeks from being ripe enough to eat. I left some buckwheat between that and the turnips, which will get worked up and planted with wheat/soybeans/white clover mix in September. The field corn in the front (planted May 30 same as the sweetcorn), is looking pretty good and up about 6 feet but not tassled yet. I will probably start trapping coons in about 2 weeks to try and save some sweetcorn to eat and field corn for deer season.

I have 2 fresh picnic roasts in the smoker . Hit 3 stores before I found pork buts and they were tiny. I'm cooking this for my nextdoor neighbors family. He was a great neighbor and friend although I didn't know him but a few years . Avid outdoorsman loved to fish for pike and deer hunted . He died unexpectedly at 58 years old . I'm going to miss our mailbox gab sessions and cold beer chats while passing on the lawn mowers. He retired only 2 years ago. God speed my friend .

Can you imagine the panic involved? You live in a time and place where videos of people being beaten with sticks, knocked to the ground and being beaten and kicked, houses and businesses being burned, people beating up police, and burning their cars, Cops being ordered by their superiors to stand down and not aid people who are being attacked, People pretending to be protesters supposedly exercising their free speech activities being reduced to nothing more than wild uncontrolled animals prowling the streets preying on any innocent citizens. Now they focus on your residence making threats and perhaps even forcing the gate open. I wonder why they didn't shoot. They had to believe that their very lives and property were in imminent danger. What exactly does anyone expect. And now there are people that feel that something legally should be done to those who are simply protecting themselves. I will say that it is just lucky for these anarchists that something far more devastating wasn't done to them than simply warnings and gestures. Let's try to be a little bit honest here and ask ourselves what would you do if you only had some guns in the house to defend yourself. Now remember.....I said let's be HONEST.

Doc ! Glad to,hear from you . I support the couple because a line has been drawn and I’m on their side, mistakes and all , not the commie rioters , period . Now they could have been discreet,man inside at a high point covering the crowd with the AR, while out of sight , woman covering the front door . That's a poor example . There has been rioting and looting in the city . Since the gate was broken down tresspassing and threats were made , it would seem that the protestors were not that peaceful . Maybe their intent was to be peaceful but I wouldn't trust them to be ! You never know what you would really do until the time comes .

So with all that is happening in the world today, And I am going to apply this to everyday Americans instead of a rich gated community. If a mob of people opened the gate (whether locked or unlocked, signed with no trespassing or not) to your fenced in back yard, milled around yelling and swearing at you. You wouldn't feel like your life was endangered? That is basically what you are saying....You have called the police and nobody responds? What do you do? Wait for them to enter your home?
