7-22 around 7 am. Food plot top of a natural funnel with access blocked by cut spruce trees so they are forced to 30 yards from stand. .. bonus points if you can identify leaves in photo at top..17 points

@treeguy took me and my nephew out for kings and as usual, he got on fish! It was a rough start but once we got on them it was fast and furious. We landed four and lost one at the net. What an awesome night, Zach was literally shaking when his first king came aboard. Finding those kings is a science and Andrew is a mad scientist! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro17 points

Since I moved over the winter and don’t have any land work to do for the time being, Ive been keeping myself busy tinkering with my Hellcat, joined a car club and teaching myself how to shoot and edit together videos. I thought Somme of you would enjoy seeing the progress on the car and some of the videos I’ve been putting together.3 points

Many of you know of my Remington 700 VTR that I bought years ago and hunted with up until last season. The reason why I stopped hunting with it was because I had become disgusted with the factory Remington finish constantly rusting. Before last season, I sent it out for Cerakote, and when I got it back, I just couldn’t bring myself to drop it back into the original stock. I since hemmed and hawed at what stock I was going to buy for it. I thought Long and hard about a laminated stock, and ordered one, but it just didn’t look quite right and was heavier than I really wanted. I sent that one back and ended up ordering a Magpul Hunter stock in a similar green color as the factory stock. The other day it came in and I dropped the action in. It’s just what I wanted looks, feel and weight wise. The lines of the stock go very well with the triangulated barrel, and it doesn’t weigh much more than original. The stock is adjustable lengthwise and has an interchangeable cheek riser. Now the rifle is bedded and free floated, with full Cerakote and the Timney trigger. The last additions will be studs for the sling and bipod (if I choose to use one), and I have a detachable magazine kit on the way. I enjoyed hunting with my 300 Win Mag last year, but that Gun is awfully long and not ideal for still hunting, which is one of my favorite ways to hunt. I’ll be glad to have my little 308 back with me in the field this season. Can’t wait to get her finished up and sighted in!2 points

https://abcnews.go.com/US/15-people-shot-chicago-funeral-police/story?id=71911574 Sad and tragic that innocent people are victims of people dedicated to a life of violence and murder. The article states “"Every funeral with any evidence of any type of gang affiliation is treated the same way," These gangs support themselves through the distribution and sale of illegal drugs. So AGAIN, when will gun control advocates see the major root cause of gun violence is illegal drugs? Blaming gun manufacturers, hunters and the NRA instead of the real root causes only validates their total stupidity understanding why there is so much violent behavior. The article states “Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot condemned the shooters for allegedly taking advantage of the service to enact revenge. "To the cowards behind this shooting ... we have to ask you to find your humanity," she told reporters.” Mayor Lightfoot asks them to “find your humanity”? They are not human and your support of gun control is nonsense.2 points

Started the prep work for this Salmon/steelhead/pike/trout season with some spinner making. Just got a Twistech wire bender and a shipment of components. We do pretty well swinging these through current and casting in staging areas, nothing like a salmon or Steelie smoking a spinner! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk2 points

Based on the golf results, we already know that Jerkman is going to talk a big game, show up in some spiffy bowling shoes and then hit the gutter several times.2 points

Nothing even is close to quality . These happen to be pork sausage. If dropping off venison in fall keep in mind you have only a couple days to pick up as everything is freshly made and not frozen. Make it fun and drive with a couple guys and or mule some friends stuff with you. We had 4 of us drive together from Buffalo area last year and took another guys cooler to place order. It’s cash only on venison product which is odd as the normal non hunting season stuff can use cc2 points

I got a couple small plots of purple tops in yesterday. I went light on the seed and heavy on the fertilizer. The new Chapin bag spreader worked pretty good for the fertilizer. The 80 day sweetcorn in the back of the photo is tassled good and probably 2 weeks from being ripe enough to eat. I left some buckwheat between that and the turnips, which will get worked up and planted with wheat/soybeans/white clover mix in September. The field corn in the front (planted May 30 same as the sweetcorn), is looking pretty good and up about 6 feet but not tassled yet. I will probably start trapping coons in about 2 weeks to try and save some sweetcorn to eat and field corn for deer season.1 point

Pulled out one of the bows yesterday evening. Here's my first that was either at 40 or 46 yards. Don't remember. Second pic is group at edge of yard from target. 46 yards. Definitely didn't mean for outer 12 ring. Dumb shit luck. Can't see rings that far out. I was just aiming for bottom 1/3 kill shot. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk1 point

Few cops are doing anything but taking radio calls, nothing proactive. Nobody’s checking out groups on the corner and so on . The less contact with the public the better for their careers and pension . 20 and out ,and Lord help us with what will ever take the test again.1 point
