  2. This buck is the best I have seen so far . The doe and her fawns travel the area pretty regularly . One of the fawn pics was taken on a $20 Bresser camer and has the wrong date & time . Can't change it .

  3. Got the idea to build some ultra light weight bow hangers . For awhile ive been wanting to get a 3d printer ,from there i wanted to use it to mold custom carbon fiber . Part of the reason for this project was to start to learn about the bonding procedures for carbon fiber . For the first one i purchased the tube ends so i could see how much clearance they use from the aluminum to the tubing for epoxy . By doing so i learned the ends are also slotted to allow for thermal expansion and not fatigue the epoxy . A few pictures of the build and the total weight is at 5.3 ounces without the tree screw . I have tubing with half the wall thickness for the next batch , i will be making all the tube ends for that build ,i'm guessing the total weight on those will be 3.5 ounces finished.

  9. I never weigh fish, I use the chest girth method, my bass are routinely 5-7lbs. Haha sorry Wolc, I had to.... In all seriousness, we catch hundreds of Lake Ontario bass each spring at arguably the heaviest weights they will be (spring) and only a handful go over 5 lbs. LOTS of 4-4.5's. The scale doesn't lie. 10. 7/25: got a lot done this morning. Dragged a tire to cut down high brush on walking trails. Replaced a ground blind, threw some throw and grow for summer pics, and checked cams. No spikes, no 3’s and no 8’s. So far we got the following on cam: Two 4’s Two 6’s One 7pt Some does and only 1 fawn I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  17. Pulled out one of the bows yesterday evening. Here's my first that was either at 40 or 46 yards. Don't remember. Second pic is group at edge of yard from target. 46 yards. Definitely didn't mean for outer 12 ring. Dumb shit luck. Can't see rings that far out. I was just aiming for bottom 1/3 kill shot. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  18. Got my MB550’s today. There’s no comparison to the duke’s I got last year. These 550’s are solid tanks. I’m going to try a few set this year, but I’m really building up an arsenal for when I retire. I’ve always wanted to trap ever since I was a kid well I’m going for it in my old age. Should be a fun adventure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Some def beautiful smallies for you this year. I've caught a few, prob 10 -12 or less in my life, but a 5lb small mouth bass isn't all that common in NY. Although a lot of people think it looks 5 lbs the scale is always (exception PA chart) the tell. I can only think of two lakes I've ever got 5lb smallies out of. One small amazing lake up in the Watertown area (which is in my avatar and also not a 5lber) and Delta lake. But nothing fights like a small mouth bass.

I have regular pint glasses that commemorate things like QDMA branch I'm a part of and offroad dirtbike race weve held at the farm with our name. a couple mugs from an international collegiate snowmobile design competition our team won. 33. I got a couple small plots of purple tops in yesterday. I went light on the seed and heavy on the fertilizer. The new Chapin bag spreader worked pretty good for the fertilizer. The 80 day sweetcorn in the back of the photo is tassled good and probably 2 weeks from being ripe enough to eat. I left some buckwheat between that and the turnips, which will get worked up and planted with wheat/soybeans/white clover mix in September. The field corn in the front (planted May 30 same as the sweetcorn), is looking pretty good and up about 6 feet but not tassled yet. I will probably start trapping coons in about 2 weeks to try and save some sweetcorn to eat and field corn for deer season.

  34. 7-22 around 7 am. Food plot top of a natural funnel with access blocked by cut spruce trees so they are forced to 30 yards from stand. .. bonus points if you can identify leaves in photo at top..

  40. I have 2 of those and 4 box traps. The nice thing about the box type is that you can check them from far away, but the coons usually mess them up pretty bad when caught. Also, sometimes a smart one will figure out how to swipe the bait. I always use peanut butter coated marshmallows. When I get robbed by a smart one like that, I put one of those dog proof types by that spot with some cat food and it usually gets them every time. I don't know of any fur bearers that are easier to trap than coons. Hopefully I will be able to start taking some out in about a week and a half. My sweetcorn will be ripe by then so they should be coming from miles around. I aim to have the local area reatitivly coon free by the time the field corn gets ripe. I only got in 3 acres of corn this year and the only way it will last thru ML season is if I take out lots of coons.

  41. I will say I've seen a ton of bear sign in 7p this year. My brother had a mom and cub cross in front of him in green. Heard of a couple other solos around green. My parents have a problem bear in Norwich. Seems like the population exploded in this area the last 2 years.

  43. Heres the difference between the two tubes ,the larger diameter is the current build and the smaller stuff is for round 2. It's crazy if you've never handled carbon fiber ,it weighs nothing ,you can try as hard as you want on a 8 inch piece but you cant even flex it let alone break it.

  45. Prob an air leak. Either need a new fuel line or it just might be loose at the tank or the motor. If the bulb doesn't pump up it's most likely an air issue. And if the line is really old it might be split somewhere or one of the seals at the ends. Can bend the line and see if any cracks letting air in.

  48. Put on a few miles in my day following Coon Dawgs, I would still be doing it but age has pretty much caught up with me and trouncing miles in the woods chasing the hounds and going through those swamps at night would be near impossible these days for me to keep in the chase. For me it was always about the dogs, some of the stuff those old Coons would pull to loose the dogs and the way the dogs figured out what they were pulling and put them up a tree was something. I still have the memories and there are plenty of photos out there of the folks still doing it that put a smile on my face. Al
