Another early season WNY bow buck...

If a person needs to see someone else do something before they do it they already have other issues. The guy already had the virus and it was public knowledge. Getting a shot after the fact is not front page news. He is the last person worried about an image.

Not as fancy, efficient, and good looking as Mowin’s setup but I got her done. I collected a messily 160 gallons of sap and boiled it down yesterday. I did “cheat” and use my new RO bucket (RB-10)...the day before my boil I sent my 160 gallons of 2% sap through the RO and ended up with 80 gallons of 4+% sap...at an average rate of 10 gallons of sap per 40 minutes. using the rule of 86, I would have needed to boil 43 gallons of sap to get 1 gallon of syrup...with the RO, I only needed about 20 gallons. At an evaporation rate of 10 gph, I saved a ton of boiling time! And with the new revisions to my arch, I used less than a 1/4 cord of wood (over 8 hours). I’m very pleased ! Looking forward to next weeks warm weather! I have just under 500 gallons of sap capacity between my two ice-insulated storage areas. Good luck to all the sugarmakers out there!!

And the flood gates upstream are about to open. I couldn't be happier to see this happening to the founder of the "Un-Safe" Act!! Chances are very good a democrat, just as bad, or perhaps even worse will replace him. But if ever there were a chance for a statewide "KNOWN" republican to make a run. Now would be that time. Elise Stefanik, or someone with her backing and name recognition may just have a chance.

Always check coolant level first but the shop should have topped it off . It almost sounds as if air was introduced to the coolant system, those air bubbles can make stuff act real funny til they work their way out.

We live in Ontario county and they live in Erie County. When my daughter first got her permit I went to the clerk with her and they put mine on her permit no problem. I just put a new pistol that she bought on mine in Ontario county with just a receipt of purchase from her. The only thing that needs to be done is complete a pistol/revolver amendment form which can be had here: PPB-5 REV (ny.gov) a receipt or copy of and submitted to the county clerk you reside in. I believe Erie county is only taking mail in but Ontario county is in person.. Not sure about any of the other counties but the "form" is a state form.

Same here, use a regular lense that I need for distance. I happen to like a tint too for hunting, either rose or yellow, helps with contrast. Significantly helped shooting clays, but found I like them in field conditions too. I dont need correction for up close, my bifocals have clear glass in them for my job doing fine work because the distance lense blurs at reading distance. Progressives haven't worked at all for me, I reused the frames for a work pair, and wont try them again. Ironic my prescription keeps going down as I age, I tell my doc if I get old enough I wont need any.

I wasn't necessarily in the market for this but a deal fell in my lap that I couldn't pass up. I'd been casually keeping my eyes open for a side by side or O/U for awhile. It wouldn't get a ton of use, but it's something that was missing from the collection. Between the occasional skeet shoot and pheasant hunting, this might come out 6 or 7 time per year. I'd been looking at models from the likes of Stoeger, ATI, etc... Then my brother calls me and says he has this Beretta Silver Pigeon with the 28" barrels that he's trying to sell. She's pretty and the pix don't do her justice but she's so long that I can't get a good pic of her entire length. Basically brand new.

Being retired you'll find hunting Monday thru Friday is much more relaxing !

I too don't believe safe queens but do collect historical pieces. But they all get taken out for a run and they all function as intended. That should give you and your sons joy. @hueyjazz quite the opposite in this case. The gun was something that my brother picked up within the past year or two. It ended up not being what he expected (not exactly sure what he was expecting...) and so he offered it to me at a fraction of MSRP. With that said, this is probably the highest quality gun I now own. My safe is mostly full of functional pieces rather than heirloom, sentimental, or higher end stuff. God willing, I'll be able to make memories with this one (or any of them, for that matter) with my boys and eventually will be able to hand something down to them that they appreciate.

Previous owner is coming by tomorrow afternoon to set the floats and hopefully we will get a draw so he can show us the filter press operation.
